Either you work for Engagetel, or Engagetel is blowing smoke up your a$$.  With VOIP service, generating an "out of service" intercept is simple, and a common trick when lowlifes don't want you to call back.

Can you really see a bunch of dirtbags wringing their hands, and saying, "Oh dear, if only we could track down that bad person who has our old number, why did we ever give it up?"

Engagetel uses lots of numbers, and everything I see says "bad actor", DNC violator, TCPA violator, and purveyor of multiple sleazy "products".

Called my cell phone about 12:45 PM -- Caller ID said CT, USA and the number. Sent it to voice mail -- and of course, they did not leave a message.

you can register on the national do not call registry and the calls will stop within 30 days.  I've done this with several telemarketers numbers over the years.

I think they are getting numbers when you respond to craigslist adds.  I did that and in less than 30 minutes I got a call from this number.  That is the only way they could've gotten it.

I am on the do not call list, have been for much 6 months.  They  ignored it.
I have never responded to anything on Craigslist.
I have also never, ever looked for heath insurance (provided free from work).

HERE IS A FREE AND EASY WAY TO STOP THESE CALLS:

Do not answer out-of-state numbers you do not recognize.

If you actually need to speak to someone, they should leave a message.

If you answer telescammers' phone calls, even if there is no one there,
YOUR PHONE NUMBER will be put on a list and sold to anyone doing the same thing.

IF YOU DO NOT ANSWER, they will keep trying to contact you for a while BUT eventually it will stop. (Admittedly, at least for a while.)

ALSO, if spammers/scammers/telemarketers' numbers are blocked through your phone service, it helps a lot in getting them to stop. I do this on my Verizon cell, from my online account.

It does not matter which phone number shows up on your caller ID.  Many times it is a made-up number and they are calling you from internet phones.  PLEASE JUST DON'T ANSWER THEM!

I got a call from 860-791-6718 on my cell phone, and I did not answer because I did not recognize the number.  I do not give out my cell phone number, and I pay per minute for each call.  I DO NOT WANT UNSOLICITED ROBO PHONE CALLS! I am on the do not call list.

Get a call from 8607916718...no msg...call back # disconnected...I am on "do not call"...I guess it doesn't matter!!!

I GET CALLS FROM THIS PLACE 2 TO 3 TIMES A WEEK. i NEED AND WANT FOR THEM TO STOP.

keeps calling

This called keeps calling about health insurance. I want them to STOP CALLING IMMEDIATELY.
This is a business and they are always calliing here!

Google Phone Tray software.  Wont stop them, but allows you to block the call after one ring.

Although, for every call i block, they seem to generate new numbers......Still stops 4-5 calls a day though.

still calling didn't answer

They call and do not leave a message. I don't answer calls from unknown numbers. It really does not do you any good to be on the do not call registry.

I just received a call from 860-791-6718 @ 2:02 PM. I did not answer. No message was left.
