i got a call from this number too any one know why

Got this call at 2:40pm.

Again, got the call at 4:40pm.

I got a call from this number +861017908000 three times too in the morning of  18/10/10.But I didn't receive. I don't know who it is and what it want.I'm in Congo now.

Today 29/10/10 at 11:40 AM I got the call from the same number, and now she is calling and calling but I dont answering.

I'm from Norway and I got a call from this number 3 times today...  Did leave voicemail, but spoke in chineese, so not much help there...

Seems it's from CCTV,China Central TV...

I am in Germany and got a call from this number twice in march - didn't answer.

it is not a scam. that is what shows up in your phone when they call you from china with a calling card. i got a call with this id last evening, and talked about a job i applied a few months ago. no worry.

Thanks for the good info.... I understand from many of the posts that it is from someone in China using a prepaid card.....

When BOC reply to overseas #, they use this #.
But it may be used by many other companies.

I got this call who told me she was with The Bank of China, is it a scam?

I got 4 calls from this number today.  When I picked up, it sounds like sending fax.  86-10 should be China-Beijing.  I called this number back, but could not get through.  

Good to learn others have been reporting the same problem online, otherwise I will be wondering if I missed any important call from a friend or colleague.

I got call from this woman with this number as well and I am based in Tokyo. The background was so noisy I did not know what she was saying. I just hanged up.
