Called got machine hung up no message. If they're legite...why not leave a message?

Just got a call.  These people are not legit.  About all you can is file a complaint at the state and federal level for violations of the Do Not Call law.  Don't talk to these people or push any numbers.  Here's an FTC video about what to do, but the FTC can do much.  This is organized crime looking for credit card numbers and other forms of id theft.  Contact your elected officials and ask them why the law has not bite and what they can do about it.

Call blocking on works temporarily.  They spoof caller id and change numbers as often as most folks change underwear.  Here's an FTC video.

In the above message I meant to say the FTC can't do much, not can do much.  FBI should used organized crime laws to go after these guys.

"CARD SERVICE" scam .... will SOMEONE go and put these folks out of business already?  A new number every day, and the same old scam each time .... STOP ALREADY!

The woman acted like she could not hear me when I told her to take my name of her list...then she hung up on me! Reading the other comments makes me angry this person(s) can't be tracked down and STOPPED!!

I get a phone call from this number DAILY.  This time I waited for a human to answer and proceed to ask him to take my number off the call list and he hung up on me! What does it take to get these annoying people to stop calling????????????????

Got a call from this number and told them don't call me back.  All they do is call from different numbers across the US.  The do not call list is a joke.

The Do Not Call Registry is an odd concept.  After you register, the Federal Trade Commission gives your number to marketers so they'll remove it from their call lists.  The FTC puts a lot of integrity in telemarketers.

We really need to just start messing back with these callers.  Start sounding like your stupid and tell them you'll sing ABCs for them and then do it.  If they keep talking, ask them if they want to hear you count to 20. Or just start stating over and over, no no no I don't want to vote for Mittens Romney. HAHA. Or blow a whistle in the phone.

BS robo-call claiming they want to reduce my debt.  Always starts in the middle of the message that makes it sound like you are being called by a debt collector.

call said we owe money a credit card said it was the second call and they were going to turn it over to the collect compnay;

Received call today. Pressed #1 and told caller to place me on "do not call;" she hung up. Called FCC to report. They told me to call the FTC and make a report. I did. I was told that this is a scam and never to respond.

The caller ID says they are a Wireless Caller. So are my neighbors and friends, so I picked it up. It started out saying "This is an important message..." and I hung up.

If I don't recognize the number next time whether it says wiresless caller or not, I am not answering.

There should be some way to stop these people. Instead of the [***] laws congress is passing, why don't they go after these people. Now that would be useful.

This number called and left no message. So much for the do not call list.

I did not answer the call - they did not leave a message.

The only thing that's going to stop this is if we pass legislation that makes it illegal to spoof your phone number (why is this kind of thing legal as is?).

This is obviously a scam.  In this particular case, being on the DNC (*which my wife and I are*) will NOT stop these calls.  At the very least, the owners or whoever is in charge of the actual phone number had the forethought to put in a voicemail message saying that the number had been taken over and used for this and to report it to the police and otherwise ignore it.
