- D.E.It's Rite Aid. The computer will call you to remind of a refill.
Also if you've asked them to change your phone number, it will call the new number (sometime a week later) to attempt to verify the new number was entered into their system correctly.
Not a scam, although sometimes the computer gets a bit loopy. Which, humans can get loopy too.- Caller: Rite Aid
- Call type: Event reminder

- Armitage112It's Rite Aid's prescription reminder service. Not sure why they called me, as I never signed up for a prescription reminder service. I got an automated message. I called the number back and got ANOTHER automated message that responded to voice prompts. I had to go online to riteaid.com and go into a live chat with a Rite Aid Customer Service rep to have the calls stopped.

- consumer replies to kateThis is a call from RITE AID. I've received these annoying calls every day for the last week.
You need to call RITE AID corporate headquarters to have them remove your phone number from their system. Just calling your local Rite Aid store will not work.

- SheriIt is Rite Aid Pharmacy advising that a prescription (or prescriptions) are due/ready to be refilled. They describe the medication, and also give the generic, and tell you when it was last filled. They did not ask any personal information, except to confirm that they were speaking with me.

- Dennis J KThis is from RIte Aid Pharmacy reminding you it's time to fill one of your prescriptions. If you call them back from the number they initially called, they won't ask for any information. They will tell you the medication that is due for refill and they will ask you if you want them to have your pharmacy renew the prescription. It's actually a good service for those who may forget to renew their scripts. They don't take long and they don't ask for any personal information.

- Info866RiteAidCalls replies to Steve Gagnier-- Collection agency Trick-- Really, all they are trying to do is get you to respond by returning their call. Of course most people will return the call due to the very nature of the comment about it being your local Rite Aid Pharmacy. People will respond to find out what is going on. Once the confirmation is obtained that they "indeed" have a name & phone# match, they will end the call with you.
When you call the # back, a recorder will say that your # has been confirmed or removed (something like that) --- Game On, they got what they were needing.
How and why Rite Aid is their chosen name to hide behind (don't know)-- - Carol replies to anonymousExactly. They want to be sure they do NOT give out information covered under medical privacy laws to the wrong person.
