I do have a lot of debt, lost everything in recession including my retirement savings. So i started getting calls from everyone. I searched on the internet for a answer and found one so I copied and printed out the one page letter to mail to each collections company that called me, they stopped calling. They can send letters but soon that stops also. Next time they call all you have to to do is ask for their mailing address, tell them not to call you ever again if they must only contact you by mail, which in most cases they have already tried to no avail. Also if they call you after 8 pm record the call you can legally sue them and they will have to pay big time!  lawyers love suing them its a no brainer. This company with the 1-866-224-9825  must of bought one of my old debts from another unsuccessful collections credit agency, because they are new to calling me its been two years since the others quit. They can keep selling off your debt for about 5 years then usually they give up. After that if your debt was great like mine over a half million you probably should file bankruptcy and start over again.

When these bill collectors call and leave a message, They have to say this information is only for (your name) they can only say its important that you call and ask for so and so. They can  not leave a message for anyone else or talk to anyone else about the matter. I answered and said I was my sister the north star agent was careful not to say anything about what this call was about just for me to tell my sister to call her at this number. If they discuss this with anyone else you can sue them its the law.

First never say it is your debt after it get so old it is uncollectable unless you admitte debt or you make even one payment to them or any other debt collector
There is a ton of info on theinternet on debt collectors for the state you live in do some research if you owe and can't pay soyou know your rights
Never fail to reply if you get a real summons/subpeona. It will be delivered by a court processor ask for proof that they are from the courts

It's 8am, phone rings. Caller ID 866224925... No good morning no sorry for waking you up.. Just  May I speak with Ana?( Thought to myself my mother) ... I asked Who??.. Ana.. You got the wrong number I said.. But wanted to know if it really was for my mother i asked for last name and it was.
Why are you calling me I don't live with her and you are calling my cellphone how did you get this number?
No answer...  Can I leave you a message to give to her. Ok what's the message? Call me back at this number my name is blah blah blah... Ok what's the message? Just tell her to call ok.. REALLY RUDE at this point.  Ok so who are you? Blah blah.. I get that, but what do you do for a living? Look i didnt know i was calling her son. Just tell her to call me ok

and HANGS UP... I can tell I pissed him off by asking all the right questions that for some reason he couldn't answer. From the beginning he was pissed off that my mother wasn't here. Why would she? he called my cell phone.. I had to give him some attitude to match his level of unprofessionally executed phone call..


WTF?? That's when they aren't getting people to pay their debt. I sure wouldn't.

Annoying and calling for something/someone we do not know! Rude and totally harasses people.  They need to be reported big time.

I don't owe any debts to any collectors and am having a rash of calls from places I don't recognize. All the time. Really irritating.

They tried to get information form me regarding a debt I settled years ago. The account in question is listed on my credit report as settled. They called saying Discover has no legal recourse because of the age of the debt- why would I pay these people???
Jamie Dombrowski was the man who called me. It is unsettling that they know the last 4 of my ssn.

This number call and tells me to call another number. We get this a couple times a day and a week.  If anything we have over payed never late.  They are the joke.

They call looking for someone I Dont know. They use a different number every time.i use app Mr number now to block them it works. I asked them what company they are and when I tell them that I am recording them them they hangup.

Just received a call from North Star.  The gentleman was polite, introduced himself and what he was calling about and for who - my son.  (They should not be allowed to give college students credit cards.)  He asked if he was available.  I said no.  He asked if I was his wife.  When I said I was his mother, he apologized many times.  I told him I would gladly give him my son's number and he offered to remove my number from the account.  So we made the exchange.  And once again he apologized for bothering me.  My son's debt, he needs to take care of it and stop putting my number on things.

I have this number blocked because they have called me numerous times but never left a message before. Blocking sends them straight to voicemail and this morning, they called before 8am pacific time. This time, there was a voicemail that said "this is Rachel with Northstar Location Services and I am calling for (unitntelligable first name) Bahar. If you are not ...Bahar press 8 now. By continuing to listen, you acknowledge that you are ... Bahar. This phone call is an attempt to collect a debt and any information received will be used for that purpose. Return my call at ........."
This has got to be the most ridiculous message ever. That is not my name, and I have no idea who that is. It is impossible to "press 8 now" in order to not acknowledge identity on a voicemail. If I wasn't so f***ing annoyed at the stupidity of this person, I'd be laughing. But I am not and if they continue this harrassment, they wont be laughing either.

If you are receiving harassing calls from North Star and your phone is on the DoNotCall list, you can report them to the Federal Trade Commission. Go to the DoNotCall page and go to the submit a complaint page. Near the bottom, there is a notation about reporting debt collectors. Click where it says "click here" and fill out the form. Tell how abusive they have been, how they use profanity and will not stop calling when asked. Tell how they refuse to forward debt information. Hopefully, these jerks will be put into their place.

You need to report them, it's against the law for any company to call a residence after 9pm

Called me for the 5th time in 5 days.  Say they're calling for my brother.  I don't have a brother.  Told me I'm lying, so I'm guessing they're a debt collector.  Blocked them on my cell.

They have my number and my address, yet they've begun calling my elderly parents who live in a different state, and claim to be looking for me. NSLS uses harassment and will continue because even when complaints are filed and attorneys are involved, they still do not pay adequate penalties to inhibit the harassment.

Just hold your finger on the number, you will get a list of choices on what you want to do, put that number on the Add to reject list.
