Received a hangup call Sunday morning at 10:00AM from 866-229-3821. This organization has been
calling everyday and it is bordering on stalking and abuse.  It certainly does not want you to write a
check to them--in fact, it makes me think that they have bad judgment and do not deserve to handle money!!!

It could very well be the Leukemia Society.  Just one of many charities we used to donate to when we had jobs and money.  But why they call at 8:00 AM when there is a disabled person at my home trying to sleep, I'll never know.  What happened to the common courtesy of calling a home between the hours of 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM only?  I would not do business with anyone who disrupts my family.  Thanks, all.

We get calls from phone everyday at 8:30 AM, no ID and no one answers. We are on the no call list but still get annoyed.

I am glad to see I am not the only one who has this issue.  Maybe it's a fax machine?  "Texas" has blocked the calls: How did you do that?

For this number you can call it back press'1' to remove, enter ###-#### you want removed, it will repeat number back to you then press '1' if correct. If you cant do this, quit your complaining.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 2011 Fund Drive calling from various numbers to include 8662293821 & 8662291369.  They call from 8 AM to 8:30 PM almost everyday.  Called them back to have my number removed from their list and they state that federal law gives them 30 days to remove your number.

I agree.  This place calls multiple times a day non-stop.  I answered once and told them to remove me from their callling list, but the calls keep coming.

I have gotten no fewer than 3 calls a day from this number.  I have tried ignoring and I have even answered.  When I answer there is nobody there.  They even called on Easter Sunday.  That is so wrong!!!!

These calls ARE from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Their website is: www.lls.org  Like many of you I have been getting these harassing calls for months. Not knowing who they were from, I was reluctant to call this number back. For info, if you make or return a call to any business telephone you  have established a business relationship with that firm which exempts them from the do-not-call laws in your case. Of course, this organization is a charity and thus already exempt, but since they show only "800 Service" on their caller ID I did not call that number until I had done a web search and found out who they were. On calling, their robot does give you the oportunity to have your number removed after making their pitch, and then arrogantly tells you the law allows them 30 days to do so! I will never donate to an organization using these tactics! I'd suggest that everyone go to their website, pick a contact number or person from the contact list, call them, and voice your complaint directly as I did. For information, the employee responsible for the robo-calling program is Ms. Byrny Lynch. Perhaps you might ask for her. Don't forget to mention the "excellent" press they are getting on websites such as this!!! (Kudos to whocallsme.com)

Caller from 866-229-3821 repeatedly has called between 8 and 9 a.m. There is no response when you answer.

Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation.  If you once give to this group they keep calling you. Ask them to take you off their list.

This caller is a major nuisance in all manners of speaking. How do we get them to stp calling? NOW!
They call most every night at this time. No one at the other end and never leave a message.

multiple annoying phone calls (robo type) from either this organization or a company representing this organization - Leukemia Lymphomas Society.  They call using a variety of phone numbers hoping, I guess, to either wear people down or snaring someone elderly and/or not in their right mind because who in their right mind would ever want to donate to such an organization that uses tactics such as this?  However, on their website they do have an e-mail address and  perhaps if enough people start writing them expressing their wrath at their intrusive tactics maybe they'll consider becoming  a little more upstanding and stop bothering people and trying to take their money, much less their time. Their website/e-mail is supportservices@lls.org.  I urge everyone who has had an annoying call from these people or their paid representatives to give them a little note at your earliest and let them know your displeasure at their constant interruptions and request they immediately cease all communications with you. Also, you can look up their Board of Directors and either e-mail them directly or call them or write them as well.  Maybe boatloads of requests to cease will make an impression. Pennsy Girl:  Even though you're on the National Do Not Call list, some calls are still allowed. The following is from the Federal Trade Commissions website:  

"Placing your number on the National Do Not Call Registry will stop most telemarketing calls, but not all. Because of limitations in the jurisdiction of the FTC and FCC, calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those...(etc)"

JK:  If you TOLD them over the phone to remove you from their call list, they have up to 31 days to comply. (You may still receive calls until that time elapses.) If they are still calling you (as you say), and you know for sure that the 31 days has passed since you told them, then you can file a complaint with the FTC against them. intrusive in mi:  Since I have been receiving these calls myself (from at least 4 different phone numbers that I now know belong to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society thanks to whocallsme.com visitors), I fully understand your (and everyone else's), frustration and annoyance. However, for all the good things you wrote, I would be reluctant to e-mail any complaints to them (or others like them), simply for fear that they would then have my e-mail address to solicit, harass and bombard my inbox. Even though I could put a SPAM block on e-mails coming from them, I'm just not comfortable with them having another piece of personal info of mine. I'm sure you'll agree that it's bad enough they have our phone numbers -- and the fact that they are exempt of the Do Not Call list laws, unless they are told (notified) by us to stop their calls. Even then, they have up to another 30 days before they MUST stop, or complaints can be filed against them with the FTC. I wish the FTC would set up an easier way for the public to sign-up to get these non-profits (charities), political organizations, and telephone surveyors to stop calling us, if we don't want them to. I do caution people about e-mailing complaints... it may be best to complain and/or request them to stop the calls using your phone, since they already have your number anyway. Just my opinion.
