Got a call from 562-401-5940 to call 866-352-4737 for a message from Kaiser.

got a weird robo calls saying they were from Kaiser and a call back to this number.no option to speak to a human. Very suspicious.

I received a Robo call from Kaiser today asking me to call 1-866-3-Kaiser or 1-866-352-4737. The message said to call the number and provide my medical ID number and date of birth to receive an important message. I was sketched out so I called the number on my card. They couldn't tell me what the call was about or if the number was legit, so they transferred me to someone else. That person said the call was probably legit and couldn't understand why I wouldn't just call it back and give the info. I asked if she would oblige if Visa called her and asked her to call some strange number and put in her card number, date of birth and mother's maiden name in order to retrieve an important message.

Anyway, after going around and around, she was able to confirm that the number was a legitimate Kaiser messaging system. I ended up calling the sketchy number and it was a promo for flu shots. Seriously, why couldn't your initial robo call, have just said, "Hey, come in for a flu shot."? Why do I have to waste 40 minutes researching your sketchy system to only be disappointed by something so unimportant?

Not to mention, if you needed my health record number, shouldn't you already know that I've had my flu shot this year?

Look at all the other complaints about this number online going back to at least 2008. This robo call system is a failure. So stop it.

I got the same call, and called them and i hung up when they asked for pers info, must be legit but what a bunch of idiots, go pound sand

I completely agree with you, Angry in ATL. They should NOT call and ask for INFO... that is a terrible biz practice and only opens them up for ppl to believe it is legit.  Angry too!  Kaiser STOP IT!

Got one of these and also called Kaiser main number to verify. Neither the person that answered nor her supervisor could verify if it was a correct Kaiser number so I figured if it was important someone would call back

Same deal.  And, I did the same as you did.  You'd think Kaiser would know better.  It's a scam to sell vaccines.
The drug companies pay for this crap.  Free flu shot at your grocery ;store. Robo calling should be illegal.
They actually call me at 10 ;00pm at night.

I have KP.org app and figured they would leave me a message on there. Nothing. So I came to the internet to investigate this robo message to call 1(866)3KA-ISER. They know my last three patient record numbers too. It don't smell right. And..... they call from Downey California at 1(562) 401-5940. Weird. AND .... they called yesterday morning right on the dot at 10:37am just like today. Scam I call it.

I did an investigation from the original call number in Downey and people on this site say it IS Kaiser reporting your meds are in the mail. In which I did order meds through the mail. Credible although, why not just leave message saying "Your meds are in the mail." Why make me call? Okay for privacy probably. I answered my own question. Lol

They call you, tell you they will send you to court if you dont give them your bank info. Its a company running a scam with idle threats. Be careful!! They took my money and i got it back by disputing it. Only pay companies on your credit report!!!

I got a ton of these robo-calls from Downey, CA.  I started to wonder, so I called the number on the back of my Kaiser card and they were clueless.  If this is a promo, then just record the robocall like that and leave it.  Asking for medical record details creeps me out.

I called Kaiser, Northern CA, and they said that they don't have all their toll free numbers listed necessarily on their website. The support person on the phone had to forward my request to my local clinic to see if there were any messages I needed to pay attention to. So yeah, this could be a real number or not....

The 866-352-4737 is a legitimate message center number for Kaiser. I checked it out with customer service first and found there were two messages there for a prescription that had been filled in house that the mail order service didn't show as filled.

I have been gatting these calls periodically. When I called Kaiser Customer service they had no clue about this toll free number or any record of flag or issues they wanted to clarify with me. These negging calls are anoying. Kaiser never confirmed if these calls are generated from their system in my two calls with Customer Service.

I called the 1-800-3-kaiser number back and they said I won a $100 wal-mart gift card, and they kept urging me not to miss this opportunity. I have a hard time imagining Kaiser getting super eager to give me $100. They got part of my name right and the last 3 digits of my member ID, this is scary.

I received a robo-call from Kaiser the other day. They knew my name and the last 3 digits of my member ID, but wanted me to input my Kaiser ID. I figured it was a scam, so I hung up and called Kaiser directly. They had no info on any of my doctors trying to reach me. I also didn't see any messages on my online account. I figured it was a scam and forgot about it. Then they called again today. I put the number into Google and found this website. Some of the "reviewers" were in the same boat, but someone wrote a big long post about how it IS a real Kaiser number, but the info was basically useless. Some flu-shot thing or something. I decided to trust this internet rando (very much unlike me) and decided to input my member ID. Then they asked for my birthday. Against my better judgment, I put that in too. Turns out, it IS a Kaiser number, but the message I got was
useless. See, I had gotten Kaiser through Medi-Cal like a month earlier. The message was telling me that I now had Kaiser coverage through Medi-Cal, which I already knew. So yeah, legit number, but probably only used for non-healthcare related messages. To anyone out there who was as sketched out as I was, know that I took the risk for you. In all honesty, whatever message they have waiting for you is almost 100% not going to be coming from your doctor (and probably not all that important, to be honest). It's probably from an insurance thing (mine was a Medi-Cal call) or a flu-shot reminder call like that other "reviewer" mentioned. Decided to leave my experience in the hopes that it helps some other skeptical person, like that previous one did for me. Good luck to y'all in this scam-filled world.
