Im not with Telus.  I have a digitial phone through Cogeco and I also received a call from this number tonight at 8:30pm.  I didn't pick because the number was unfamiliar.  No message was left.

When I went on line and googled this number - all your concerned messages came up.  Clearly this is not Telus and some other scam company trying to extract personal/confidential information on you/me.

Therefore, as hard as it may seem...keep ignoring the call.  Set it in your phone to show "scam" -that way when they do call you'll know right away just to ignore it.

You can also request that your number be removed from their call list.  However, your not guaranteed that it will be.  For that, you'll need to change your number (to a private one - yes, costly!)

In addition, companies sell there call lists to other providers that request it.  Therefore, it could very well be your service provider that gave them your number.  Remember their all out for the same thing - profit!

I'm getting calls from this number to MY HOME, not my cell phone (which is Virgin, anyway, so...)

Every time I answer, I get silence.  I say "Hello???"  3 times, then say, "Goodbye." and hang up.  Every time.

They've called every day for over a week now.

Telus telemarketing call.

Just didn't answer the call and they didn't leave a message, I won't call back

I keep getting this call as well. I am on the telus network, however this call is NOT from Telus.

They are calling to get information from you to scam you. I've looked into it through Telus and they swear it is not them.

Do not give them any information, and everyone is right your best bet is to just ignore the call. But whatever you do please do not give them any information.

Its not a scam,  Telus hires outside marketing companies to make calls to existing clients and ask them if they want to add another phone or upgrade.

If you dont wanna take part in the deal then hang up!  

I personally got 4 phones from them.  why not?  its a good deal lol

Since this summer they call me minimum one time a week!!!

Same story here - they keep calling us in LATE evenings (around 9pm) and they never bother to leave a message.
I called them back - it is Telus.  Funny thing, a while ago we put all our numbers on the Canadian "do not call" list, and we were very specific to include ALL of the listed telemarketers (that included Telus, Rogers, and basically all the other biggies), yet they continue to innundate us with their calls.  So what exactly is that 'effin' list worth?  Probably not much.

I got a couple of numbers I could complain to:
1) Telus Security: 1-800-567-0000 (you need a copy of your bill to talk to the agent), and
2) 1-800-400-2598 (this one is for subscribers outside Alberta; not sure why she gave me this number), also Telus Security, just different area.

Apparently, if you call their Security, you can not only make a complaint about their "privacy practices" (or lack of) but also get your number off their calling/mailing/emailing list.
Going to address that tomorrow morning :)

They claim to be Telus, but this is some other telemarketing company. Not in Canada - they are ignoring the do not call list, or maybe got a copy of it so they have numbers to call.  They are calling me several times a day.  It is driving me crazy.

Yeah they won't [***] off. I'm getting pretty sick of it, I'm about to call them back n my house phone and tell them to [***] off or I'm going to come rape them with my dualies.

They called me tonight without leaving a message. Possible scam.

For the past week I have received at least two calls a day and at odd times.  I would like to know who it is and have them stopped.

Pickup, and even if you don't hear something on the other end at first, wait. When they answer, tell them you wish never to be called again. Otherwise they will set call back automatically within a either 24 hours or 1 week.

I recieved a call from this number today.  I called telus ony tobe told that it may or may not have been telus calling and that I shouldn't worry.

The telus agent read some of the above comments and advised me to go this website to check and make sure the number was not a scam.

I asked her to make a note on the account because we are concerned the number maybe used to make long distance calls from our cell phone.


Regardless Telus should know they give telephone numbers to.

This is also the second call in 2 days from the same #.


Since the person who called also claimed to be from telus maybe they should look into this.

Got a call from this number and answered on a saturday night. Weird hours for a Telus promotion call. They said that I had been chosen amongst the telus number and that I was eligible for a super duper forfait on my cell phone, I said no thanks and hung up. Since then, they called me again monday, then tuesday, but I'm not answering.

Sook I looked at this before I answered cuz they kept calling but I wouldn't answer. I let the guy go on his shpeal trying to sell me something. I then said " your product sounds great and all, but I already know you're a scammer" He said he wasn't and said he would give me his telus I'd but I said I don't care I don't want the product anyways and he politely let me go.

rec'd call from this number at 10.52am - Feb 26th - missed the call  - no voicemail left....

I've never answered this number but I'm getting quite sick of it... they call me twice a week every week and its been going on for about 5 months... they're just starting to call me more often and I'm getting EXTREMELY fed up... I've changed my number about 3 times since this started
