I just spoke to Ms. Foster, Office of the Vice President. She called me after receiving my BBB complaint. I asked her if she was aware this company has an "F" credit rating for all their harassing phone calls, and she admitted to me she was aware of it!

- JeanI am sick of these people calling me. I am on the don't call list. If they don't stop I will report them to the Attorney General's office. They are nothing but a big nuisance. They are so stupid - when you answer the phone you get nothing for 1 minute, then some boob comes on. Are they so desparate for business. I never had their card nor will I ever want one!
- Caller: Unavailable on caller ID
- EXFLEXGreat! CREDIT ONE called so much they got me canned, so now I can't pay anybody!

They have to stop i might get fired for this - Anonymous| 2 repliesI LOVE reading these posts. Especially from people who start with 'I heard" or "I just found out". Obviously none of you know nor understand teh collection laws and who govern them. Oh, I love being in the industry!
- chris1100110011Just called the place I work, I didn't bother holding.
- AnonymousOMG, I took their credit card offer and spent it all on ho ho's and sprite, now they have the audacity to actually call me and ask for the first payment in 3 months? The nerve, i thought they were giving me this money. Wow, I'd have never thought one day someone may actually ask me to live up to my iobligations, but since I had already defaulted on every credit purchase I had already made, they should have known before trying to help me and give me a second chance. BOO HOO.
- longliner| 3 repliesI would like to reply to anonymous who obviously has such a meaningless life he enjoys posting here. Most here are complaining because they recieve calls and have absolutely no business with this POS company. I just felt the need to reiterate that point because you obviously have a hard time with reading comprehension. Its no wonder this is the only industry that would employ you.
- Jim replies to dgYeah, I have gotten MULTIPLE calls today from them, and some yesterday over 15 calls! I have no cards or any bank information or dealings with this bank or any other banks. Why are they calling me?
- Jim replies to longliner| 1 replyHi again, I am just messaging one last time in agreement with longliner about "Anonymous". Everyone here is talking about us getting multiple calls and no messages from these people and have nothing to do with them(mostly). I have never dealt business with them yet i get these calls 5 to 10 a day. So "Anonymous" if u aren't here to make a complaint, or ask for help, why dont u keep ur nose out of it?
- AshleyThis number called me three times asking for "Raymond Archi". They said they need to speak to him but I explained that it is the wrong number and politely asked them to stop calling me. When the lady first asked for "Raymond Archi" she pretended to have a foreign accent, then when I complained that she has called me multiple times, she all of a sudden sounded American and said "i'm not trying to call you, I'm trying to call him." very rudely then hung up on me.

- funcreditoneObviously there are some people scamming their company... giving them wrong numbers most likely. Problem is, if the number they have in your system is yours, then they just assume they are calling someone who isnt trying to pay when you say you arent them or dont know why they are calling. they probably dont have a good method of verifying phone numbers with clients.
- JesseIf you have an Android phone, you can download an App that'll reject the call on its own. Search it in the Android Market as SPC

- Anonymous replies to longlinerThat is too funny, a poster needling me about posting, what a [***].
- anonymous replies to JimI post because people don't understand the laws governing first party collections, they assume that things they heard second hand are truth. I have over 17 years in this or associated financial and credit industries. I have managed people and processes and contrary to longliner, I have read ALL of the laws and policies governing the regulatory consent of first party collection.
Agreed, they call a lot, but it is within their right. If they are calling you and you are not who they are looking for, TELL them. if it is you, own up to it, make arrangements and move on with your life. Collections is vilified by people who owe money in general. If you are paying your bills, you will not ever speak to a collector.
THIS is my complaint; understand and know what you (not you personally, the royal "you"), are talking about before flaming a company that is conducting business in a manner that is completely legal and regulated. - MJI keep getting these same calls. I don't ever answer them! I let them go to voicemail. I am getting frustrated.
- Caller: Not sure?

- Hard on Collectors... replies to AnonymousHeh...
1) Automated calls to Cell phones where consent has not been given or has been rescinded incurs the collector, regardless of whether it's the original creditor or a third party is a violation of the TCPA. Accidental violations (which would be hard to prove on the part of the caller...) are worth a statutory $500 damage assessed PER CALL. If it's proven to be willful (which isn't at all hard for the debtor...) it is a $1500 one.
2) While primary creditors are largely exempt from the FDCPA, many states happen to have identical laws on the books that explicitly INCLUDE them- and they carry the same statutory damage amount per incident. Texas being one of those states. If the creditor happens to have any operations within the state in question, you can sue them under THAT law and make it stick. If they rack up $75k or more in statutory damages, you can try to get it made into a Federal matter through Diversity Jurisdiction- that means you get to try to sue them within your Circuit and even if they get to change venues, the laws of your State are applied to the case.
In many of the cases, the collection group has broken the TCPA, FDCPA, or the State equivalent to the FDCPA- in most of those, they've gone on to ring up an impressive 5-6 figure damage amount.
People like you tend to end up costing your employer quite a bit of money by breaking the law in numerous ways either at the State or Federal level- mainly because you think you're legally entitled to bully, lie, cheat, etc. Fine by me... People do actually happen to have recourse. Loving it now? - PriscillaI do owe credit one. I got two calls back to back this morning. i say hello and hear in the background alot of noise. they won't say anything they just hang up.

- Arlena replies to MikeYeah, the charges are outrageous. This credit card company even raises your limit without getting permission from anyone.
