Person calling was an Edward Stone.- Caller: Paul Coleman and Associates
- misssh| 3 repliesCall came in to my 75 year old mother yesterday. The caller said his name was Edward Stone I called the 866 number back and the comany name mentioned on their voicemail was Brian Hodge & associates. I got copies of my mother's credit report and noticed that an recent inquiry was made by Paul J. Coleman & associates recently. the Edward Stone person told my mom that he was trying to collect on a Shell account that was opened in 2003, she does not drive has never driven and never owned a car so there would be no need for her to open a shell account. I will be contacting the BBB and reporting this company for harrassement. They also told her to go get her check book and just make arrangements to pay them. Unfortunately my mother's blood pressure went up sky high behind this call so I am very upset.

- satisified customer| 1 replyi recieved a call from Ed Stone today as well, it was about a Bank Of America card, he told me i owed 12 thousand, i went over my last statement, i had to dig it out because it was 4 years old, i used to have this card with my ex wife and she ran up all kinds of bills on me. Anyway i told him the last bill i had was 7k not 12k. he went to his boss Joe Murphy and they wiped off all the interest and late fees and i settled for the amount of the bill. two weeks later it came off my credit report as paid in full and i was able to close on my new house with my new wife. I reall y want to thank Ed Stone for helping me out on this. they were holding off on the mortgage and Ed stone got this done and saved me a ton of money.

- 2smart4u| 1 replyWow! Could you guys be more obvious in your attempts to make this company sound more credible than they remotely deserve? Do you work there?
- UnbelieveableSome people are so ignorant, If we worked there they wouldnt be calling us, They obviously didnt help out our situation, but if you pay they actually work with you and help you out, GROW UP
- Caller: Bryant Hodges and association
- Stop the Insanity| 1 replyPeople! Check your state laws for the statue of limitations for contracts. Most are 3-5 years. If you have a debt that has expired because of the statue of limitations you do not need to pay it. Collection agencies, like Bryant Hodge & Associates, are hoping you don’t know the law. So, before you pay anything, do your research.
- 2smart4u| 3 repliesHmmm . . . you don't work there, but you are so satisfied with them that you came here, and a ton of other similar sites, to post insults directed at those who weren't treated as wonderful as you? Really? Maybe if you guys would stop trying to act so smug, people like me wouldn't think you are all idiots. Tell your boss to quit trying to get on the phone when you guys can't seal the deal yourselves. He sounds dumb too.
- Caller: bryant hodges and associates
- brock187samsonI got a call from John Parker at Bryant Hodges about a card I haven't seen in 5 years, nevermind used. He said he needed to talk to my attorney, bullcrap!
- Caller: Bryant Hodges [***]
- David WestonThis caller is trying to collect on a already paid debt to bank america.
- Caller: Wilson Consalidation
- T.Wisconsin| 1 replyThese people call me every few months, threaten to get judegements etc. I have repeatedly asked for back up on their claim that I owe money from a 10 year old credit card debt. I have asked for info to be e-mailed, faxed, snail mailed any thing but they won't do it. I keep telling them to go ahead and get a judgement because then I would have proof of a valid claim. They get upset with me tell me I don't know the law etc.... and evetually hang up on me. I don't hear from them for a couple of months and then it starts over again. They call my parents, my work, my brother,my husband, everyone but my cell which I have given them many times. They can't get judgements if tey have no proof of debt. Watch your credit reports. They got a hold of mine picked an old debt and are trying to collect it. I called the credit card company and they said my debt to them was paid in full (not charged off)
- Caller: Bryant Hodges/Paul Coleman Etc.
- tj-floridaMan, if it isn't crystal clear that some of Bryant Hodge's Associates have been on here posing as "satisfied customers." These people really are stupid, but then they prey on the stupid. If you're dumb enough to fall for their scams, you'd be better off sending your money to God, care of some random evangelist with a white tie and greasy hair.
Scammers just called for my father-in-law. You hear the words "Bryant Hodges" think "gutter rat, financial terrorist." They make Asset Acceptance look squeaky clean, honest even.- Caller: Bryant Hodge and Associates
- AnnoyedThese people are using different pool of numbers, all supposed to be from BHA - see more comments on 866-400-5283. Another number from area code 207. Nowadays, we do not give out address, soc. sec. # and/or date of birth or other identity theft info without being 99.98% sure of who we are dealing with and we challenge them to come up with the details. Leave a case or reference number and asking for someone in the household with a common last name / sound-a-like first name isn't good enough. They call before and we asked them to mail us the proof, which they never did, and it's been weeks - so we will ignore them & not answer their calls, it's blocked on our automated VOIP system now.
Upon further research from a variety of sources, this company supposingly buy - dirty cheap, of course, since it's mostly worthless dead files - wholesale charged-off/bad debt files from banks & other finance companies, and try to call & collect anything that they can, even when the statue of limitations or time limit for the debts had since expired. They got nothing to lose by tracking every Juan Gonzalez and Pamela Smith in Los Angeles, CA or whatever & match it to someone in their computer files.
I couldn't help but laugh at the satisfied customer ....
Freedom of Speech ruled here & long live the internet for spreading the news.- Caller: BLOCKED
- Haha!Got an address for them 20 state st suite 100 bangor, ME 04401, honestly tell these guys you wont pay and theyll just forward it out, havent got a call since i told them that i wouldnt pay anything
- Caller: bryant hodges and association
- DF - let's see what we know about BHHmmm - let's see, besides an address tracked to Maine, someone else tracked them to New York using public records:
Current Entity Name: BRYANT, HODGE AND ASSOCIATES, LLC
Initial DOS Filing Date: APRIL 08, 2009
County: ERIE
Jurisdiction: DELAWARE
Registered Agent
AARON SIEGEL
448 FRANKLIN STREET
BUFFALO, NEW YORK, 14202
Checking the BBB for New York area, no information found on them - but, there are at least several other highly reputable collection agencies in the Buffalo, NY area acknowledged by the BBB.
Time to get in touch with the New York State Attorney General's office and the BBB since we are getting extremely, extremely annoyed with these calls looking for someone or the legal representative that we don't KNOW - about an urgent business matter & keep calling back.- Caller: Private
- Big Sexyparents received a call from a Ken Snift. Left a message saying that he needed to hear from my attorney by 6pm. Called the number and got ahold of a Charley Mcnair. Said at first they were an attorneys office. When I asked further about being an attorneys office...like what states are you licensed to practice law in ,I was told that they were represented by law offices all over the US but that they were just a call center and they had no attorneys on staff. I asked for the mailing address and Mr. Mcnair tried the "talk mad and try to scare them" tactic. I avised him he needed to start following the FDCPA right about now and give me his mailing address so that I could mail a cease and desist. He gave it to me the promptly hung up.
- jwoodSame story here, but I sure am tired of their rude as hell calls. I have repeatedly asked them to send me an email with the balance info and they refuse. I don't know what else to to do with them. If anyone can advise me, please please email me at jerrysilvas@hotmail.com.. For real I am sick to death of these people!207.941.9365, is also another number they call me from, plus an "unknown number". Please help!
- Caller: Bryant Hodge Associates
- J-RockThey called me from 877-271-2450 and left a message something about it being an attorney's office. I did run up some debts about 7 years ago, going through a divorce I lost my mind for a while and ran up a few payday loans that weren't repaid. I eventually kicked my expensive habits and have turned my life around, but I never did settle up those debts. I've got news for Bryant Hodges and Portfolio Associates, I'm never paying them either. The statute of limitations has just passed, so they can all kiss my behind.
Keep calling all you want, I have caller ID you know. Except for those times when I'm feelin a little froggy, then I am happy to talk to you and give you as much crap as you give me. Still ain't gettin paid, [***].- Caller: Bryant Hodges
- Call type: Debt collector
- Misty replies to missshI get the same. First it was the Paul Coleman people harrassing me then it turned into Brian Hodges. I talked to these people about 5 years ago (another company then) that there was no way in hell I was paying 5000 for a 375 limit card and that I would pay the 375 plus a fair amount of interest. They immediately stopped any doings with me and sold the debt. the Paul Coleman company told me there would be a sheriff at the door the next day. Ummmmm yeah never happened, these guys are bullies who make min wage to harrass people about 10 YEAR OLD DEBTS!!! I am going to write out a script telling them that if they call me again they are subject to a $16,000 fine since I have already asked them not to call me. Look into your rights, and stick it to these [***], we don't have to take it!!!!
