These people have started calling my neighbors and asking for personal information about me, this is nothing less than telephone harassment.

Keep getting a call from some Indian trying to "Verify My Location". If you don't know who I am or where I am then you don't need to be calling me. They can call me a hundred times a day as far as I care... that is what VM is for... so please just don't answer the call. If nobody would answer the call then they can't get their job done, if they can't get their job done they get fired, and if they can't get any money from you they go out of business. So all you have to do is nothing.

I live alone....these calls scare me....I can not understand one word they are saying..have had 9 calls...
two different numbers....same  "line"..another one is 678-486-1027.  Please find the scource....I can't.

Got a call and this indonisian guy left a messege saying he needed location information... STUPID ASS!! the number he left is 866-505-9316 he said his name is JOSE... ext. 5558. THIS IS A MAJOR SCAM AS ALWAYS!!! People do not fall for this what so ever... make sure you tell your friends and family what to look out for.

We are a business that keeps getting a call for a person that appears to be of Indian descent, I try to answer it to ask them to quit calling but they hang up on me. We just want them to quit calling as we have no affiliation with Nationwide Credit.

Indian guy calls and leaves a message saying they need to confirm my location. Have not called them back.  They've called twice.

I've had a run-in with this before.  Through my info, they gained access to my checking account.  I did a three-way call with my bank rep. on another line.  I let the person with the accent talk and then I let him know my bank was on the other line.  He got mad because his scam was figured out.  I had to close the account to keep them from helping themselves.  They had all my info.; name, address, ss, and bank account no.  They wanted me to confirm it.  This is when I put them on hold and called for back up with my bank.  The bank rep. could easily tell what these snakes were up to.  We also called the sheriff's dept. in case they were running a local scam.  Don't trust anyone on the phone.  See the settlement in writing before you agree to anything.  If you want to know the legitimacy of a co. or to report them, contact your state attorney general's office.  Companies like this go after zombie accounts; accounts that are paid off or uncollectable.  They pay pennies on the dollar ifor the account in hopes that you will give them a nice profit.

whoever recv a call frm 866-505-9316 or an automated message, dont ever think that its a telemarketing or a scam identity.Call on that # n resolve ur own issues.U will never know which call wll tun out to ur own profit...

This number appears on our caller id at least twice each day. We seldom pick up. When we have, there is no one there. We are troubled. Is this a legal issue?

A lady called me and left a voice mail message and said she needed location information and told me to call back immediatly. I called back and found out it was a credit company but im not old enough to have a credit or debit card so i beleive this is a scam and do not call them back or give out any personal information

I keep receiving this call on my cell phone and everytime its about credit, i am too young to have any sort of credit record. I dont have any type of credit or debit card so this call invalid. This is a scam

this is a scam. do not give them ANY info. a real debt collector will contact you in writing when asked. know your rights under the fair credit reporting act and tell vick to [***] off.

I think these people find a debt that you really do have, then use that against you to get money! They are Con Artists! Good ones, obviously because they choose people with legitimate debts! No Company is allowed to ask you for personal information! If you really owe a company money, you'll know it's them when they call! If you indeed called back and gave them money, I bet anything if you call the original company you owed money to, you will unfortunately find out it still isn't payed!

After reading everyone else's comments though I realized that I haven't seen anyone say something about location information!!! Has anyone else gotten a voicemail saying that it's about "location information"?

These people called my neighbor asking about me, telling them it is very important I contact them. Even if it is a collection company I refuse to pay! let the [***] sue me.Follow the law [***]. I have contacted a lawyer and will file suite againnst Nationwide for breaking the law.
They can not call your family  neighbors place of work.

Some guy with an India accent. Wanted to know if I was so-and-so, but I don't tell people who call me unless they introduce themselves first. Wouldn't tell me who he was, so I told him I didn't know him and hung up. These days I don't give anyone any information. If they call me, they better be telling me right off the bat who they are and what they want.
