A spam again? I got the call but didn't answer.

I can confirm this is citibank early fraud warning.

this number called and left a message with an 877 number for me to call back.  I called and was notified that there were 3 fraudulent charges totaling around $1,000 in FL (I am in NJ).  They immediately canceled my card and issued a new one.  This was all done in less than 10 minutes, extremely hassle-free, wonderful customer service!

They have called me twice about the same account with the same charge for same time and place which I verified - why do they call more than once for the same thing?

I decided to call the number on the  back of my credit card direct instead of answering or returning the original phone call.

So, I don't answer calls if I don't know the number no message was left. I looked online and saw a bunch of people saying it was CitiCards Fraud dept. I decided to check my account online, Thanks to all those who posted to let me know it was Citi. Sure enough, fraud on my account as soon as I loged in I got a message asking me to contact them. I called the main customer service # on the back of the card and it routed me right away to the fraud department. For the past 4 days someone has been having fun with my card. If you have a missed call from this number call the number on the back of your citi card (to make sure you're getting Citi) and if the fraud dept did indeed call you you will be immediatly routed to their department.

The number calls daily.  When answered, there is no response.

got a call today for my 83 year old Mother's card. Called the main number they said there was no notation that the fraud dept called. Account was already closed anyway,but always call the main number it's not worth the risk.

Still a legitimate Citibank number, but I'd still call the number on your card.  When I called the number on my MasterCard it connected me straight to the fraud department

Is Citibank fraud center.  I did not even have much of an issue, simply an automatic withdrawal on a card that I had replaced and no longer used....kind of impressed actually.

Just received a call from 866-517-5348. I didn't bother to return it as I havea pay as u go phone

I have had a few missed calls from this number in the past few days. I returned the call to the phone number and it was Citi Cards. I had purchased two airline tickets for an airline in Antigua which had set off red flags to them so they blocked my card. Thank goodness I called becuase if I had gone to use my card it wouldn't have gone through. They asked for my card number and I requested that they look it up by phone number instead and they did with no hesitation. Nice to know someone is looking out for me.

It is a legit number for Citibank Fraud.

This was a real call from Citi(Group/Bank/Credit). I had made an unusual charge and they verified it without me having to provide anything more than last 4 digits. When in doubt, call the number on the card. I've done that before and Citi confirmed that it was their fraud prevention system that had called.

I also received a call from this number and it is in fact Customer Service for CITI Bank.  I spoke to them and gave some information to them but I stopped half way throught the call because I didn't feel comfortable giving anymore information.  The lady said to give her a moment to document and enter into the database the subject and of the call.  She said to call back if it made me feel more comfortable and assured that it was CITI Bank customer service who I was speaking with.  Rather than call that same number I called the customer service number on the back of my card.  Once I called the number on th eback of the card, the lady who answered after a few questions read to me what had been documented by the first lady at the 1-866-517-5348 number.  My card was cancelled because someone this morning tried to use my account number online.  CITI Bank immediately suspected a fraudulent charge and did not issue approval.

Got a call from this number claiming there was an urgent problem with my Citi Mastercard.  Only problem is that I have a Visa card from Citi.  Didn't trust the automated voice asking me for account information so I called Citi back directly.  Their fraud department didn't show anything listed on my account and didn't know anything about the automated call.  So I don't know if it's legit and they made a mistake or what's up with this number, but I recommend calling the number on the back of your credit card instead of giving any information to this number.

Keep getting calls from this number.  No one is ever on the line when I answer it.  Got the number when I *69.

Yes, this is Citi Bank Fraud Department.  I was getting partial message voice mails saying to "press 1 for this and press 2 for that..." without a name or company or call back phone number.  I called citi bank and yes they had been trying to contact me about some charges that they flagged on my account.  The charges were fine.

Call the back of your card number.  Do not respond to such questions about your account number etc.  Make them verify it for you.  These are scam artists that go around and call and try to retrieve information out of you.  If you have any problems etc, call the back of your card and dont give out any information what so ever. When you find out that scammers have called you, file a report with citigroup, police and FBI taskforce set up to catch these crooked individuals...
