Report a phone call from 866-517-5348 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- brandonyea its a legit number. I too, had credit card fraud on my citi mastercard and received a call from them. gj citi.
- PatrickYup fraud early warning at 8:45PM on a Friday.
- Caller: Citibank
- vod-minPlease, Call them back, it is a REAL number for citi. They will close your account and issue new one plus you will receive declaration of fraudulent charges and the new card. I am waiting for the card, they say it will take two weeks to get it and one week to issue, so be advised if you have recurrent payments off of this card, contact the companies to let them know that the current account is closed, so that you would not miss payments
- Bill LoganWe received four phone calls today from 866-517-5348, but since it wasn't recognized, we didn't answer it. Later we discovered that they left a message. This was a legitimate phone call. It was from Citi Bank's Fraud Early Warning office trying to notify us that our credit card was being used unlawfully. They wanted to know if we were in possession of the card. The transactions were not authorized and the account was summarily closed. New cards are being issued. Thank you Citi for watching out for us!
- DanIf you receive this call, definitely DO NOT ignore it! It is Citi's anti-fraud dept trying to contact you. I received several calls every hour from them today and I ignored them until I couldn't take it anymore. Instead of calling the number back, I called the customer service number on the back of my card and the system shot me straight to the anti-fraud dept. They told me that I had a few fraudulent transactions made under my account number. So, thanks Citi!
- TerryReceived several voicemail messages in the last 2 days to call this number. When I called it did not identify who the caller was. I was, put me on hold and when someone came on the line asked me for my account number. I asked who I was talking with and they identified themselves as being with Citibank. Of course, I said I was not about to give out any account number and they said there was unusual activity on my account and that I could call the Citibank number on my card to verify. I did and Citibank did not place the call or found anything unusual on the account. So I have to assume that it was a spam
- ZhengI also thought this number was a fraud number at first. However, when I retrieved the message for me, I got connected to a rep. from Citi bank. After verifying that my card had been misused by some other guys, the Rep. closed this card and sent me another one.
This is a valid number from citi bank. You can trust it.- Caller: Citi Bank
- Ted BruceI believe this is fraud unless it is sent bt your company

- LanIt is a valid number from Citibank. I had call from this number, I didn't pick up then listened to the msg left from the call. It is from Citibank fraud department, so I logged into my account online, checked and surely there was a warning on my card. Called the number listed on the warning and surely there were some transactions over the last couple days that I didn't know about, so got the card canceled and they are issuing me new a new card.
- JosueI recieved a call from them, ,missed it and then called back. it was to tell me about a charge that i did know about but that they suspect was fradulant. thanks citi!
- Caller: Citi
- AnnieThis is real - though, I wish I had just called back via the number on the back of my card. It was very suspicious that they were asking me for all of my information. I just would've felt a lot safer calling them back. Was thankful for the notification; there had been fraudulent charges. They closed the account and are issuing a new card.
- Caller: Citi Cards
- CThe 866-517-5348 number is Citi Fraud Charges - they suspected unusual charges on your account. If you do not call back within 24-48 hours they will discontinue use of your card.
They saved me from frad charges on my new Citi card - received it last week. Call 877-215-2648 to connect to the department.- Caller: Citi Cards
- AaronI got a call from this number a few times in a row. When I called back they said they were from Citi. They asked for a lot of personal information which against my best judgment I gave to them. After I hung up with them, I called the number on the back of my card. Although they couldn't verify the number specifically they did verify that my account had been closed for security reasons (as the person that called said). I then went to my account online which also verified that my account was closed for security reasons.
That was good enough for me to confirm that it was the Citi Bank Fraud department.- Caller: Citi
- True numberReceived a phone call that sounded extremely suspicious. When I called back, the guy was extremely rude and unprofessional. Was suspicious, so called Citibank's direct line. They confirmed the call.
I believe that a lot of these calls are originating from call centers outside of the country, so that's why the quality of service varies. - Nocalls for you!I've been getting a rash of these calls lately. Even AFTER I called Citi and verified the info. I checked it out. Its legit, but i only use my card for two recurring monthly charges for the last 5 years, So what is up with that? Suspicious activity? Perhaps its my lack of activity and they are goating me to use the card more often... They say that it was operator error in not removing my name from the automated caller

- DI got the same call. Since I was suspicious, I called the number on the back of my credit card instead of the one left on the voicemail, and it turned out to be legitimate. Please call the number back as this may indicate that potentially there is fraudulent activity on your credit card (Citi cards). Most of the time it is to verify your activity if the spending pattern is different from your usual pattern.
They also have SMS-text number (70650) which is also legit.- Caller: 866-517-5348
- D replies to Nocalls for you! That happened to me as well. You need to ask to be transferred to a secuirty representative and clear the specific charge item that triggered the potential fraud event. What they do is to take the last x number of charges and apply a formula to it. If the charge in question (ex, a company based outside of US) is not cleared to be legit, that will keep the "suspicion score" high the next time they run the formula and you will get the fraud alert call again. Once I cleared that specific charge, I got no more calls. HTH...
- Mia in California replies to StephenIt IS Citibank early warning system. They are trying to help make sure the card isn't being used by someone other than you. They called after I made several large purchases while traveling. I'm grateful for the scrutiny.
