Just received another call and answered it since I have been reading these posts. It is Time Warner Cable and they told me I have their cable and internet service. Then asked who I use for internet and phone. Told her that she just told me I use them for internet - duh! She asked about phone service and I told her that I use my cell for all phone needs. She shifted into pitching movie channels - told her the signal was breaking up and disconnected.

Annoying suspicious called back said the fishy "mailbox is full"

"It's evil Time Warner that tells be that there's a service problem. They keep to forget that I'm no longer their customer since I switched to AT&T U-Verse."

Same here kicked TW to the curb and switched to AT&T U-VERSE!!! Can cable do what U-VERSE does?! NOT IN A MILLION YEARS. To boot, I am saving money and get better service, not to mention clearer picture!

I got mine at 9:00pm pacific time !!!!!. No message.

I guess they're still at it. I received a call at 1:00 PM on 2/2/2009, but did not answer.

This number calls everyday at 4:36pm. Leaves no message. When I call back, I get the same message mentioned before.

Time Warner put us on their do-not-call list for sales and were not able to track the number as one of their own. They suggested if the caller continues after this, it isn't Time Warner and we should call FCC and report. The person we spoke with looked at this site and tried calling the number with the same response many have had.

Called, left no messages.

Just got a call. Didn't answer

The calls started a week ago and I get about 2 calls a day. Each time they hung up and left no voice messages. Today they finally stayed on the line and it turns out to be Time Warner Cable offering phone service to my existing cable service. They did not try very hard to sell the service and I am still perplexed as to why they have hung up prior times. If they persist on calling I will request to be put on their Do Not Call list even though I'm already on it.

Do not call for sales worked. We have received no phone calls for over a week now. We had been getting at least three a week before this.

Guy said he was a Rep. of Time Warner giving me a heads up that my service plan is about to expire, While I kept him talking I Googled the number landed here and just let him keep talking....I asked are you with Time Warner, He rpelied again I am a Rep went on about phone service.  Told him thank you but I would never use Time Warner as a phone service Provider. Thanked me and hung up.  Wierdo sounding guy, maybe NY tone, he wanted to get me engaged into talking about my Time Warner account?  this was a scam!

I just got a call and didn't answer...of course they didn't leave a voicemail. I just got new Time Warner service a month ago for cable and internet...I hope this isn't the beginning of a barrage of daily calls from them!

omg the dude called me at 9:00pm at night. Says he can waive a "deposit" fee next thing you know I got an update from Transunion saying Time Warner ran my credit!! PISSED OFF! I called and they told me he shouldnt have ran my credit and they cant check your credit if you only want internet. still pissed off. ended up calling the manager and having them research this guy who called me.

If you have time warner cable already, you can call cx service and they can add a code to your account called "do not call".  This will stop telemarketing calls from twc if you are a cx.
