Same crap-different number. They can't be stopped by any legitimate means.
They constantly rotate the numbers they call from.
Attempting to get whatever they can by Slamming, Scamming, attempted identity-theft, phony surveys, etc.
Caller ID = TOLL FREE CALL

Hmmmm, sounds like a dozen other numbers calling here.

This is a great country we live in where the SCUM-OF-THE EARTH Low-Lifes can harrass, annoy, attempt larceny, & otherwise abuse people & businesses and are protected by our constitution.

Continuing their harrassment. Give them NO information!
They should be hung up on IMMEDIATELY, & reported to the FCC each time they call.

They called my work number once while I was out. Left no message. I'm at an extension, so they had to have punched a few buttons or gotten past the receptionist to get to me. Wacky.

Call-backs are useless, phone just goes dead.

I keep getting calls from this # too...it is getting old.  I too am running a small business and dont appreciate the interruptions.  I'm registered on the no call list and they keep calling anyway.  I think I will also make a complaint with the FCC.  It can't hurt!

These people are psycho!!!!!  This guy named David called and said that he was updating our local yellow pages!  As he started to talk with me I realized that it was a scam so I hung up.  He then proceeded to call back at least 25 times within a 30 minute time frame.  i asked to speak with a supervisor and he just kept repeating my name!  I thn hung and have since reported him to the FTC ( Federal Trade Commisssion)  they will do what they call a screen and catch....so good luck David.  Let me know how the guys in prison like you voice!!!!!

They call my place of work all the time. I never get anyone to answer. It has been going on for months

No one there or they hang up when call is answered.

They actually were on the other end today.  Claimed to be from GOOGLE.  Checking to see if company info is correct so when people Google us.  ANY WAY TO VERIFY THAT THIS IS FOR GOOGLE????  Don't really believe it is!

Google - Federal Trade Commission and there is a form to submit a complaint. The more complaints they get, the more likely they can put a stop to it.  Give it a shot...it can't hurt...

Skipping the pleasantries:
Just saved 866-546-3793 (last missed call) to my phone as "scam" and then looked through call history; this call showed up eight times in six weeks.  Can't recall if I answered any of these.  I have also signed up for Information Week and intend to file an FCC complaint.

They keep calling my residence number and hanging up.  I called back and it rings a couple times and then disconnects.

Call all the time and ask for the owner of the company. I always know who they are by the way they ask for him. Then they ask if another owner is available and I say no.

Call form Indonesia/India from the "Yellow Pages".  This is the second call in two days.  Told them in seveal languages not to call again.

I have had this happen to me also, but on my cell phone (so it cost me for teh call). So I called the number back using my regular phone. The phone rings a two or three times and someone immediately hangs up.

Since the originator is calling from a toll-free line, I suggest that you call them back. This will cost the person who "owns" the number some money. If enough people continue to do this, it will either do one of two things. Either the person/company will get the hint and "go away" or unfortunately, they will change the number to an unlisted number (the 1-866 will go away). As for unlisted caller IDs, I don't answer them. I feel if they don't want to hide who they are, they can leave me a message on my answering service and maybe I will get back to them, at my convenience.

I just got a call from this number saying that it was from the yellow pages. I asked if it was sales or solicitation and she said "i asked for the owner don't ask me questions!" in a very rude voice. I'm going to contact the yellow pages about this.

Same thing. They called every week. Didn't answer. I live in Chicago, IL.

These people state they are from Talus International - a marketing firm that wanted to verify and get information about our business.  I did not have time to take this further, but looking at all your comments, I am glad I did not.  We too have had people call to verify info and then they say they are going to list us, my assistant usually tells asks them if there is a fee - when they tell her yes, she says " I cannot authorize that and we are not in need of your services"  One thing you never do is say "YES" they take that as a verification to bill you.

Same guy with an Indian accent calls 3 times a week.Asked him to remove our
number but the guy cant't seem to get it. Will look into taking legal action .
