    I got the same thing. Called Rogers and they won't refund but turned off the premium text messaging.  Still not paying the charge, though. It came from FXM Inc. - I followed the website link posted previously and it's some answering machine message in an Australian-sounding accent. I left them a nasty voicemail. I did tweet CBC as well (I think, new to Twitter).

    Same here, with Rogers and got dinged on Dec. 24th.  

    Kind of ridiculous, the carriers really have no control?

    I'm with the lady above, how do we form a criminal organization and ding the top execs at Rogers, Fido, Telus, etc... (sarcasm)

    This is 2013, this nonsense shouldn't be happening...maybe the carriers are getting a good 'ol cut?

    I was charged on my December Fido statement 1.00$ for I dont know what. I dont use that co. or that number and I would like my phone number and name removed fron their list

    Got the same bogus $1 charge. Phone number is unreachable for me too. Don't even have text or phone call in my phone's log from them. Bunch of running around with Fido but they credited the $1 as "goodwill" only allowed once in a 6 month period. Also got Fido to 'block premium messaging services'. Hope that works.

    I also received a text and charge, rogers stated they will not refund it, seeing as many of you have had success in getting the charge removed. I am going to give it a try.  Also I am going to report this to the antifraud department of the government of canada.

    Yes, I have the same problem. I received a blank text message from "131313" on Dec 27, 2012 6:56p.m.
    I ignored it.
    Last night, I checked my Rogers online statement to know that I was charged with $1 for "Third Party Services, contact FMX Inc Stock tips @ 18665692226 for charge enquiry. I tried the number which is not available in my area, B.C.
    I phoned rogers @6 a.m. this morning. The staff tried this number which is not connected. He blocked this company for me. He insisted me to pay for the charge. I refused to pay & refused to hang up. He then refund me the charge unwillingly.
    I then made complaint to Rogers thru the live chat. I got the reference number for this chat as the rep confirmed that my reply "STOP" to this company won't be charged & this company has been blocked from my phone.
    I found both Rogers & fido's customers got this message. You should refuse to pay & complain to Rogers.

    I woke up & phoned Rogers @6a.m. I refused to pay & did not hang up. the staff refund me the charge unwillingly. You should phoned the customer services again & do the same thing. And ask rogers to block this company which scam Rogers & fido's customers.

    You'll be charged with $1 + tax for "Third party services" on your next statement.
    I have complained to rogers & got the refund. You have to ask Rogers to block this company as soon as possible.

    My December bill from Rogers also shows $1 charged from FXM Inc. on Dec 30.  I have no idea how this happened as I never subscribed any stock tips service.

    The Rogers representative claimed these companies are legal and legitimate, said it was my own fault, wouldn't refund the charge, and said if I wanted to block these "premium messaging services" then I would have to block all message notifications.  A legal, premium blank text for a dollar.

    My previous message on here was dealing with a live chat rep.
    Now that I called and talked to someone, she reversed the charge and set up a block for all premium text messages.  What a difference.
    She also said that the number 131313 was not on the list of companies customers can sign up for (I wonder why).

    Same crud, $1.00 charge on two of my lines Dec 22 and Dec 28. Text from 1 (313) 13 is all I can find. Pure scam.

    Going to call Roger's. If I don't get a refund from Customer Service I will call Rogers head office at 1 (416) 935-7777 and ask for the office of Nadir (CEO), the secretary will ask what it's about and I'll tell her my complaint. She'll forward it to someone in corporate who can deal with it and I'll get a call back and then hopefully a resolution.

    Note: I am hoping Roger's has figured this out already and just gives me the credit. If they do great. I posted the above info for those of you who have not been successful with Roger's customer service and need to elevate your concern. Maybe if corporate gets enough complaints they'll instruct their customer service people to deal with it differently.
