I just got one of these GF Institute things. I thought I'd check it out online too, and am I glad I did. I wish it was legitimate, I could use the money. It's too bad that there are so many scammers in the world, especially now. I hope something is done to straighten things out ASAP. (They couldn't call; my phone is useless at the moment; I got it through the mail.)

I received a mailer from G.F.Institute that I am approved for a $25,000.00 grant from U.S. Government. I was so curious that I decided to check if they had a website. So, I went to Googles.com and typed G.F Institute, and ended up here. Fortunately for me, I discovered it is just another scam.

I received this mailer after ordering a cd from Grantsite. Gtamtsite said there was a small shipping fee of $2.95. Then they continued to debit my account for $39.95 each month, but I had shoulder surgery and a death in the family, so didn't notice it until April. Then I received this mailer from G.F. Institute, and have received many hang-up calls (but didn't note the # because I didn't realize there was connection until looking at this site). I'm thinking Grantsite and G.F. Institute are probably related. What I don't understand is why if this has been going on for months, that the Feds haven't traced the phone number and where these monies are being deposited!

I just submitted a comment that shows it was submitted "a few months ago" when I submitted it today, April 29, 2009.

Received the notice today. I wanted to find oir how real these people are or not. There are indeed too many scams out there. Thank uou for being diligent in exposing these kinds of things.

Just received my mailer from G.F. Institute concerning Gov't Funds.  Low & behold do wonders never cease!  You guessed it,  for  $25,000 big ones.  Who do you know that will just hand over that chunck of cash to you for nothing.  These people need to be stopped.  One person can make a difference but if we all band together it would be much easier.  I am sending mine to the FBI.  I am sick & tired of these scumbags always trying to get something for nothing from all of us.

I use the name Pebo when I am answering those online surveys. Guess who got a letter from GF? Yup my nom de Plume. Thus I know this is a scam. AND there is no return address, or WWW. anything. GOV. Yup you wanna lose some money? This is the number to call.

They're back at it again. Got the same card yesterday (May 1st, 2009) Thank goodness for the internet and search engines

i taught this was a bogus deal allso but there is one thing i dont understand  how people could be so heartless in these time when humanity is in need of support when it suppose to be in our greatest interest  to support each other for this  is will of JAH for mankind to live in perfect harmony to assist each other so i pray that we may find love an respect toward our fellow brothers an sisters no matter race colour or creed.an to the people who responsible for these evil action that may find it there hearts the good that is deep within us all an put an end to this foolish action .

I called got a busy message to call back later, I'm in debt to my ears with medical bills daily I pit my life in the Lord's hands I felt this was a scam so I looked up in the internet and found you all my friends in debt thank you for opening my eyes.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I received in todays mail a notice about $25,000 of Gov. Funds to be released as soon as I called 1-866-576-9176.  I had to know the scoop behind this so I googled. Darn! I really could have used this much money.

My wife got this in the mail today, addressed to her, and with her thinking this could be federal grant money offered her because she's a "Vet", I thought it seemed to good to be true... so I "Googled" and found this site. Always pays to investigate these BOGUS wastes of time effort and the killing of a few trees in the process (the waste of the paper). Thank you all for your comments!

Got the little flyer with the number 1-866-576-9176 and figured it was a scam.  Almost just tossed it in the trash.  Glad I decided to look it up.  Thanks everyone.

The minute I opened and read this mail, I figured it was a scam, so I checked online.  Bingo. Scam. What's wrong with people anyway, always looking to scam others.
