calls and does not say anything, has called many times.

The number 8665804780, calls several times a day seven days a week. Dont leave message and when i try to call back it says number is a none working number ?

This company is simply too arrogant and inclined towards extortion and lawbreaking to care, but they've been ordered to stop their harassment and use of questionable data and tactics. But it is their business model and they are legendary (Midland) for their contempt of law and now the order from CPFB to cease and desist.

They called my do-not-call private number today, like most days, and today they called on Sunday morning. They seem to think they are immune from law, morality, and consumer protections, as "we are debt collectors" and/or "we can call on 800 numbers". Now they've taken to not only violating law and order, but they hide their identity as well, on caller ID, which is new since their 60 days to comply with CFPB went into effect. This is the epitome of arrogance, and evil. I  should mention, that like many many others victimized by this company, I have no debt collect, and have had the same phone # for decades. They have no legitimate reason to harass and disturb my privacy, nor any basis on which to (legally) contact me at all. No debt.

Do-not-call is a joke for the most part. But the CFPB has shown interest in the other legal and moral violations of this company and its epidemic of lawlessness and contempt for both the American public and law.

If they call you, weekends, days, nights, whatever - and you are unable to stop them, despite having no debt to collect nor any business relationship with them, PLEASE REPORT TO CFPB and keep evidence and logs for when they inevitably are held accountable for their violation of both law and direct orders to cease and desist. They only ratchet it up, smugly citing their immunity to "do not call", etc. They were ordered to stop, and to make sure all their levels of harassment are told so.

They've harmed thousands of lives. Is yours one? This is a uniquely evil and arrogant company who believes they can just continue on ignoring law, and ignoring the CFPB too. REPORT IF YOU'RE AMONG ITS MANY VICTIMS!!

After 3 calls on Sunday (morning, afternoon, and evening) it's started again on Monday. Called to an unlisted, do-not-call registered phone, with no debt here to collect, no relationship to this company nor any of their clients. Worst bunch of crooks in the history of phone abuse. Will report...

This number never shows up as a name but they call several times a day, at all hours of the day. I've had it. I'm on the no-call list but obviously that does no good! I want these [***] to quit calling NOW!

Collecting debt for old hospital bills.

I just got a call from 866-580-4780, they would not leave a message.  I looked them up and they are Midland Credit.  I did put a call block on their number.  Funny if this was a legit debt and not a fake one then they could send something by mail as proof.

Keeps calling at 8 in the morning until 10 at night. Several calls a day. Have told them not to call at all and they still call. Midland Credit is the name they give me.

These people have called me twice, told them I am not who they are looking for, gave them no information, they gave me 2 different last 4 soc sec digits each time they called (they ask for mine and I did not give),  I am on do not call list and I have had no dealings with anyone they are calling for.

Debt collector although I don't owe anyone

multiple calls on the same day, calling day and night, sometimes 7 days a week, and has been going on for MONTHS.  never leaves a message.  this is beyond annoying and something has to be done!

This number calls my work number at least four times a day, including weekends.  A message is never left on the voice-mail. I did answer a couple of times but no response.   I wish they would stop calling.  If it is a debt collection agency, they should make sure they have the right contact number.

Harassing, constant calls

I've twice filed complaints formally, with CFPB, and after months, each time the calls stopped. (G-d bless CFPB for *trying* to protect the public from slugs like Midland- Encore! So now of course they've got their lobbyists attacking the CFPB AND continuing public abuse!)

Beginning the New Year, the calls have resumed, daily, including today, Sunday, in the morning. I hold no debt and live alone, had the same phone # for decades, and no doubt Midland/Encore has an ill-begotten list from some criminal element. There's no doubt million-dollar fines and legal orders do not deter this company, no matter what. They have ignored a specific order to cease and desist their harassment-by-phone and using false or imaginary or hacked info to help them call more and more people more and more often.
They were ordered (by the Nov 2015) to make top-down managers tell every one of their underlings and phone mills to stop. But they haven't. This company just brushes off large fines and ignores legal orders, feeling untouchable and unstoppable.

If you're one of the many, many victims of Midland/Encore, please file a complaint with the CFPB so that they might help you in the face of errant harassment by Midland/Encore. Nobody else is truly trying to rid this plague from so many lives. They will follow up (anonymous as you wish, or as an intermediary) and they need to know the scale at which these vile vultures are violating law and privacy of citizens who are NOT hiding uncollected debts or debtors.  This is the biggest violator of Americans' rights to what privacy we have left, and they just plain violate legal orders, and shrug off huge fines, or class-action suits.

Please report to your state A.G. if that might help, sue or join a class-action if you can, but most certainly, if you are a Midland/Encore victim of completely over-the-top harassment, REPORT THESE CALLS TO THE CFPB, who is the only agency trying to seek justice for the many, many victims of Midland/Encore.  Document what you can (phone logs, etc.) as they may be useful in terms of damage-seeking and as additional evidence of the scale at which this empire of illegal harassment is harming innocent telephone owners.

did not answer the call and no message was left

Guy called that I couldn't really understand that well.  I am from the deep south and this guy was Indian or Filipino or something.  Just told him that he had the wrong person.  They haven't called back yet.  If they do I will try to get more info.  These harassing calls need to be stopped.  Seems like a bunch of people are really blasted with them.  Who are the scum who own these companies?

Not sure who they are but they called and had the nerve to put me on hold. Said it was a personal business matter. They are foreigners and could hardly understand the lady
