Repeated calls from this number for my son at my number. Finally called them back and they were extremely ignorant when they asked for my son's number and they refused my request to identify themselves first. From reading some of the other complaints, it appears they work for Direct Energy and follow up on outstanding gas bills, which is interesting in that we live in a condo and I haven't had a gas contract for over 15 years, since my son was 5 and we were living out of province. My son works 2 jobs and goes to school full time, has paid every bill he's owed & so I believe CRTC should pull their license!

i have unlimited long distance so ive been calling them back on repeat for the last 15 minutes and its now automatically hanging up on me, and if i DO get through, and dont talk, they hang up on me.

almost like its annoying for people to call you over and over again.

Aggressive and crazy people.... calling for collections of a software demo

they have been calling now for a few weeks just with their number showing ,usually they are not answered, but I called back to see what they wanted spoke to an agent who said my phone number is not in their system and it should stop. Today 2 calls one no one there, the second they gave a name I have no idea who they name is not someone that I know, but all agent gone for the day so not possible to speak with anyone .It is definitely a collection agency.and they call after hours.

Nobody spoke. Several seconds later the call disconnected.

I received calls stating they were collecting for Bell MTS. The amount changed every time. I called Bell MTS and we have a zero balance on our account.

Received calls - finally took one. Collecting on behalf of another company in a Province other than their own in which they do not have an office (per legislation) and "think" they were registered to collect (also per legislation).. Both are required in order to legally collect.

They keep calling me and when I answer there is no one on the other end of the line, If I do not answer the leave a message and there is no message.

I keep getting called from someone named Melvin. When I call back, he answers the phone as "Hello??" without a professional greeting of any sort indicating where I have called. He claims I have an outstanding balance with my phone company, however the account number he gave me doesn't exist. I have spoken with my long time phone provider and they said I am in good standing, I do not owe on my account and that this is NOT the number of their collections service. They advised me to not give any of my personal information to these people. I asked them how I could pay this "balance" and he insisted on credit card, however said I could mail a cheque to 255 Consumer Rd. Suite 400, Toronto ON M2J 1R4. I asked if I could pay the phone company directly, and he said it had to go through him. I would advise not taking these calls, or asking what company they are calling on behalf of and go to them directly to clarify/dispute any "outstanding charges". I looked up the address, it is just a call center.

Same situation here. I just followed your lead..excellent idea! I'll be doing this from now on and maybe this 6 month harassment will stop. Always silence on the line when I pick up. Thanks .

They keep on calling me sometime they leave a message regarding debt collection about loan but I didnt apply for any loan, most of the time they just leave a blank voicemail.

They call me every single day, and leave a message ever week. If they'd pay attention instead of being obnoxious dipwads they know that I am not named Tanjit. Imagine comparing a name like Alex to Tanjit. Ffs

This number calls us  usually around 8 am  and thern two more times in pm every day.mfor the past two months. How can we stop this or block that number? I want this to STOP.

I received a call from this person called Amirthegan Wijayanathan Saying that we spoke in December, but he thought he was smart. He didn’t know I keep track of all the calls I get from unknown numbers and there was no call from him. He is trying to scam me into paying for something that has absolutely nothing to do with me and it’s in the name of my landlord. I don’t know how he got my name, but this number needs to be really checked.

There's no call display. Just a phone number 866-717-7004.  You hear their elevator music and you wait and you wait and finally an operator comes on or should I say a Collections agent.  They are so rude and calling for an employee who worked at the company 15 years ago and no longer works for the company and has moved overseas.  These guys are Idiots!

A call once a week, no message, not identified during work hours.
