Bank of America is evil, they took over my MBNA credit card which had a minimum payment of $200/month. Then they sent an UNMARKED plain envelope telling me my minimum was going up to $800/month and I could dispute it. I thought it was junk mail, tossed it in a box. After arguing with them about this letter I "never received", and the date to dispute being long passed, I was forced to claim bankruptcy because i could now not pay my rent or car loan or other credit cards, I then found the letter; called them and they did not give a rats butt that the envelope was unmarked and said if they did it for me they would have to do it for everyone. SCAMMERS. No wonder they are involved with these people.
Lastly, before bankruptcy, I emptied out my retirement of $20,000 to try to pay them and they still, after that, would not lower my payment! Then they had the gall to  try to dispute the bankruptcy. BofA can burn in hell with Northstar. They ruined my life and my future, i will now be homeless during my retirement, since I am unable to have children and now cannot adopt due to my credit and sad ghetto home environment - and I owned 2 houses before. Blah.

Geez the whole country is broke- I dont understand why those of us that lost our jobs or maybe had critical health crisis going on while the country collapses around us cant get a little help also. We all paid the bail outs you would think the rest of us would get treated alitlle better then what these collectors do to us. Not all of us run up bills and then just dont pay them. sometimes crap happens and there isnt anything you can do about it, If you add up all the interest we have paid on credit cards over the yrs the company isnt out any money the interest alone paid off the original amount we spent. Any more owed is just profit.
Proberly half the collectors here at northstar owe some one something that is why they are such [***] on the phone to us because they get the mean ones calling them too.

What ever my 2 debts i have are almost at the SOL's so they can keep calling all they want i just look at the called id and say if you can find the money you can have it but that aint going to happen so big heavy sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These people finally stopped calling after I told them that the person they are looking for worked for me 2 almost 3 years ago now and that this is not her number.

Well guess what, now they are sending mail to my address for this person. How stupid are these people? If my phone number isn't hers then obviously neither is my address. I'm done with sending back the mail to them marked "return to sender does not live here, quit sending this persons mail to me"...I'm throwing it away now. I did my part I told them 5 envelopes ago that this person does not reside here and to stop sending me her mail.

These people keep sending me messages and asking for people that I did not know! They keep asking for someone that I never knew or heard!

google online for a cease decist letter, input necessary info such as, acc#, original bank owed. etc, you'll see the format. Send it to them with a signature required. By law, they won't be able to contact you by phone anymore. If they still call you after receiving the letter then you can contact attorney to sue them for harassment. Make sure you record the conversation for a swift settlement. lol. My suggestion is Don't ever answer the call, and don't pay a single dollar toward your old debt, or you will start the statue of limitation all over again. Find out what the debt stat is in your state, and most outstanding debt will drop out of your credit report after 7 yrs from the date the bank charged it off. I record all conversation with any collection agency to insure they are not bull [***]. ask them permission to record the conversation and couple of times they actually hung up on me. Unless you need to rebuild your credit immediately, otherwise, just wait it out and sue them when they start [***].

Sleazy - yeah because a company contracted by chase bank, bank of america, discover, cap one, and barclays directly must be really sleazy right. so sleazy they provide free healthcare to their employees and have annual revenue of $100,000,000.00 + ? Pay your bills and you wont get phone calls. Whos the sleazy one- the one who broke a contract with their creditor or the one calling to have you repay the debt that your contractually obligated to pay back? - No need to respond, your first statement made my IQ drop a few points alone. I dont think I could stand reading another paragraph of whiney nonsense from some one who would rather gripe than grab their check book and take care of their debts.

jen,, everything you've posted on here is whiny. As soon as you tell Northstar not to call a number, they can never call it again. They have dialers they do not sit there with a paper file harassing anyone. How about you all stop complaining and pick up the phone and tell them do not call this number. Oh wow! Its like magic! They won't call that number again! Plus since you clearly will all be debtors forever or declare bankruptcy, you might as well tell them not to call because you don't care about your credit. Hey how about you get a job there? Then maybe you'll be able to pay your bills!

These people call my house every day on automated calling systems and ask for someone with a name similar to mine.  There is no way for me to call them back and tell them to stop it!  I've gotten at least 2 or 3 calls per week from this number.  Please help.

These stupid mf-ers have been calling my # and leaving recorded messages for over a year now. They say the message is for a relative that I haven't spoken with in 20 effing years!! Even IF I had any info on a deadbeat relative, WTF makes these stooges think I would help them for free? Make me a cash offer on the next pitiful message you leave and maybe I'll return the call. BTW, the cash has to be in a cashier's check made out to me and sent in advance. Let's do some business!!  LOLOL
