Received a call this morning from a person with a foreign accent, identifying himself with Apex, told me that I was selected to receive a free digital camera and a 2 day vacation to any spot in the world. Asked him to give me information on his company, stated that it was Apex Standard, etc, etc. I again asked him how he acquired my name but never answered me but kept going into his spiel. Then came the big question -- he wanted my bank account information. That is when the stuff hit fan with me! I told him that I do not give such information to strangers whereupon he hung up on me! Surprise.

I got a call from Apex... they said you won 3 days 2 nights vacation package and a digital camera...so i said ok... and they ask me to pay $1.95 for shipping and handling... i gave them my account detail.... but after 3 weeks when i saw my bank statement i saw Apex charged me $169.93... This is a fraud company... they also record your statement for $1.95.... do not give any details to this company... and when i call them back they says its non refundable amount... they are taking money from you for the service which we have not used.... be aware of this company... I do not know where to complain about this company... if anybody knows let me know on hijamp2001@yahoo.com.... and let me know if anybody can tell me how to get money back from this company...

I got scammed too! I know this means that I am way too niave and trusting. Grrrr. They took 169.00 just like the rest of the comments. I'm certainly NOT happy about it....but at least it wasn't everything in my account. Are there any reports of more money than this being taken? I'm worried they might try to take money from me again . Does anyone have any suggestions?

So I got the apex call today. Like all the others, they wanted my bank account. Obviously I did not give them my information; but how the hell did they obtain my name, AND my address?

Yes, this was the same thing that happen to me a man with a middle eastern accent call me on my job phone number.  Don't know how he got it, but I play along with him about winning a digital camera and trip until he got to the part about shipping cost of $1.95 and wanted my bank account number to where I would be writing the check.  I said if you think I am going to give out to you any account information over the phone you are crazy, and told him not to call me again and hung up!!!

I have also received the same call from this company and this is a pure scam please do not give any financial information to these guys...

Received a phone call, from an individual with a heavy accent that may have been Middle eastern/Indian Subcontinent, with an offer of a free digital camera and a free trip to one of multiple locations within North America for up to four people of my choosing; I did not receive further information on the travel information but the digital camera was supposedly 2.1 mega pixel, any further information I received was not understandable. The caller was from a company named Apex Services which operated out of New Jersey.

The offer carried the familiar price of $1.95 and as with every other mention of their offer they were only willing to accept an EFT using bank account, routing number, and check number and claimed that they would be unable to draw the funds if I did not speak to the bank prior to the draw date; Something I know for a fact is in correct since I use EFT often without informing my bank.

The company claimed to be IT related, as in several other posts, and was making the offer to a select handful of numbers (customers) that they had provided service to. I have only lived at my current residence, on a college campus, for a short time and have not given the number out to any business that I've been in contact with; the previous owner likely did the same as that number cannot call outside of the city. This was my first hint that something was amiss.

While I kept the guy on the phone talking, I did some quick internet research on the little information he provided me.
 There is in fact a IT related Apex Services Website, and on the left side in bold red font there is a warning of an ongoing scam using that company's name.
 I also called the toll-free customer service number on the phone number that was provided by their representative which connected to a Apex Services that had a menu of services including: Advantage Communications, Body Supplements, and a Coast to Coast Body Club. Needless to say, with the exception of the Advantage Communications, none of this sounds very IT related. I selected the third option, Coast to Coast Body Club, which provided a second phone number 866 901 8966 and claimed that their office hours were from 9 AM to 5 PM EST. Upon calling this number I was connected to a Coast to Coast Travel Club, and was forwarded to a recorded message detailing a too good to be true deal (Monthly Fee of $14.99, One time fee of $29.99 and you get a 3 day, 2 night travel voucher monthly,) and new office hours of 9 AM to 2 PM EST.

I immediately got back on the phone with their representative, who was on hold  while I read this page, and told him that I wanted him to delete my number off his list of numbers to call, and delete any information he had received from me. He of course asked what had changed my mind, at which I replied that I was going to leave my reasoning to myself, repeated my request, and hung up on him; Hanging up was probably not the best answer but the only information I had divulged was my First and Last name, Bank Name, a friends first name, the fact that I am currently a student & in the Army Reserve after leaving the Active Army (he wanted to know if I was currently employed,) and a mailing address that was completely unrelated to my banking information.

Did any of you recieve the weight loss pills? I got a bottle of them before I got the statement from the bank that they got me. then this month I got another bottle of them. I hope they don't charge me again. I can't change my bank account just yet I have paid bills that have not came out yet.

if they can give u a three day two night vacation and a digital camera why cant they pay more 1.95$ cents it makes no sense..
the reason they ask for bank info is becoz along with the vacation and camera they give u three promotional offers which they sell u indirectly they will tell u that u can call to customer care and cancel the promotional offers as it is for free trial period of ten days but then u will not be able to cancel them as the customer care number they give you always remains busy so by taking ur bank info they will debit the charges of the promotional offers and that is how they make their living they are not wrong technically
but they play with words BEWARE.......................

They offered me the same deal today (free holiddays and a digital camera), I declined. I wonder how they get all other information? What is high teck digital police doing? They should catch such guys like fruadent company Apex.

They got me again!! I called my bank the frst time it came out and they told me there was nothing they could do about it. To call the number they gave me. All I got was recordings!!!! Today I checked my account and they have taken another $79.00 out. I can't close my account yet because like I said earlier I have paid bills[taxes] out of it and they have not cleared yet.Plus I have direct deposit of several paychecks I will have to have changed.  What else can I do?

I received a call from Apex also telling me I won a camera and a vacation. The guy had an accent. When he told me about the $1.95 I waited fro him to tell me he needed my account. I asked him why can't send a money order instead. His voice changed a little with anger and said no I need the bank name of where you will be paying the $1.95. I hung up and he called me three times after that. Now today a girl Sharon Smith calls but i do't pick up. She left a message and i call back all it has is a recording of losing weight with different numbers. They will call back. The caller ID showed a different number with 201 area code. I'll post it if they call back.
