I received a telephone call from this number today identifying himself as a representative of Honda Financial Services re my loan.  They confirmed my name and telephone number and then requested my date of birth and address.  I have never take a loan from this company and asked where they got my number.  the representative had no idea.  I refused to give this information.  I don't understand where they got my information and am nervous that somebody is trying to steal my identity.

Seems to me, Joe, since I received calls from them also, and I'm never late on any of my payments, that this practice is flawed and you should try to make sure you have discrete information before condemning people. Its people like you, who make judgments and decisions based on assumptions that are causing the political polarity in our country today.

They call constantly and REFUSE to state what they're calling about and who they are. My son picked up while I was in the shower and they asked him to take a message, but every time he asked who was calling they said "it's personal business" or "it's a personal matter." What?! Then he asked for my sons DOB and address, which he didn't provide, and the caller promptly hung up. Scam or legit?

I make my friends payments out of my bank account so obviously they got my phone number and now they're calling me non-stop if not even my payment I just happened to make it for him out of my bank account that's complete harassment on their part

I was about to put this number (866-950-7780) on my automatic reject list, but thanks to this website, I learned it was from Honda Financial, so we decided to answer it. We had misplaced a car payment bill!  I heard my husband give his birthdate to the person on the phone, and I quickly searched online for "Honda scam" but found nothing too worrisome.  We paid online and saved a fee or worse. Thanks.  P.S. If I find out in a few days that we were tricked, I'll update this post, but after we hung up I looked in a drawer and found the misplaced bill, so it was probably legit!

This time they said they were from Honda Financial and to call back, when I did they and for my last 4 social security number.
I got suspicious and asked why? They put me on hold and was disconnected….

They're complete robots, very few of the reps have empathy or respect and they totally abuse what ever "authority" they think they have. If I had known I'd be so mistreated and harassed I would have never gotten a honda, these reps totally ruin Hondas good name.

Stop wasting money adding stupid features on your phones and pay the contract you signed up for when you got the car.

calling me at 8:00 AM.  I am  senior lady (78) and am often still asleep at this hour.  I am also on the Do Not Call List.
If it is Honda, I have never owned one in my life!  I do not understand the calls and I really need it to stop.

This is supposedly “Honda Financial” they call me multiple times a day but never leave a message and there is never anyone there. I have no business with them and in fact don’t nor have I ever owned a car. I’m a life long non driver so why they are calling me I have no idea it just seems like needless harassment or a case of mistaken identity that can’t be rectified due to the robotic nature of the calls.

If you have an iPhone you can block them without paying anything.

This is 100% REAL 'American Honda Finance' number.  I didn't trust the number to reversed it.  Some thought a scammer from Honda so I went into my actual account to get the proper customer service # not calling the one that left a message on my cell.  It's REAL American Honda, this is not a scammer even though the number they called from and also left on voicemail was different from what I called through my account.  But it's the real company, okay to respond to them.

do NOT verify personal info over the phone = ID theft. Report this to the BBB. my wife got a threatening call from these people trying to verify her FULL SSN and other personal info.  I reverse searched this number - 3 platforms and got zero identifiable info on the call.  and they are calling others who don't even OWN A HONDA? come on now... this is a phishing issue. No geo location on the call; no call ID, only a random 866 prefix. wakey wakey and smell the phishing
