Stop spoofing BOB...

I had a call from "Bob Jones" at Work Save Retire today March 10, 2011. I did not answer the phone and the call went into my voice mail. The message was "Please return my call because we need to talk to you about your resume."  I Updated and reposted my resume on Career Builders last week and now the phone is ringing off the hook with other calls like this one.  I am glad I googled the phone number and found all this information about Work Save Retire Bob Jones and Mary Smith. This is one call I will not be returning.

I got the same call from this number but different scenario. I have been in contact with their recruiters and they gave me access to a resume software and a search engine. both have worked great for me! I have had a lot of good interviews. before i received the resume software i had a total of 2 interviews in a 7 month time period after redoing my resume  i have had 7 interview in the last month and a half. the recruiter i have been working with has been very helpful. i met with the financial adviser as well and he gave me a lot of beneficial information.

i have gotten the same calls as the ones stated in here and i called them back their program is actually great their resume software is wonderful and i have had numerous interviews since starting to work with them!

Got the same call from a 859-963-1332  (Lexington, Ky) nearest. Asked to return call to 866-994-0381
Bob Jones wanting to talk about my resume. Sounded like a Scam. Did not return call.

Got a message from "bob" at work save retire said he got my resume, So I figured he got ,my number off career builder.
My iPhone got a caller ID of 704-612-2477

If you listen to the sales pitch there are two stages. The first is finding you a job, the second is setting you up with a finacial planner which is I believe is the main objective of this company. I would never recommend working with a cold call oufit.

I GOT A CALL FROM BOB DYLAN, LEFT A VOICE MAIL WITH THIS NUMBER..SInce i posted my resume on careerbuilders, wanted more information and wanted me to call back...have not called...

I just got the call today Heather Wellington wasthe person I talked to. Caller ID showed Kansas Call 316-854-8243. Said same type of yaya about my resume and how they would find me a job at no charge. Then I get a second call from Worksaveretire 952-466-7026 wants to ste up interview with recruiter Julie Anne and retirement specialist Dave Guerrin at my home. Who comes out to your house? No other recruiter I ever spoke with wanted to do that! They sent me a confirmation e-m that had the same # you have all posted 866-942-8202 with various extensions. First 2 #s went to WSR v-m same man's voice on message.The 866 # was answered by the same man, live, I said I had the wrong # and he asked who I was calling. I said not WSR and he said oh well we do job recruiting do you need a job?
Not sure If this is a scam or not  but I am very leery of someone cold calling like this to offer me something free. I have been job searching for over a year. Wasting my time posting resume on CB and Monster and a bunch of others. Sent lots of resumes few responses. Best thing I've found is Craig's List. You have to wade through the BS but I've had more interviews in last few months than in the last year. I wish I'd known! I thought Craig's List was where you went for a bad roommate, lemon car or strange sex!!
I too have received many scam offers since being unemployed! There is a special place in H**l for these scamers who prey on us at our lowest time!

I got the same call from this number but i actually listened to what they have to offer! They offer two different opportunities! They set you up with a recruiter and outplacement tools! I have talked with Heather and so far they have gotten me a few interviews. They also offer retirement consulting and I met with Larry Harper in NC he did come to my house but it definitely was not a sales pitch or scam he gave me a lot of great information on retirement a lot of info that i did not know! I don't know why everyone on here has sad such bad things about this company! Have any of you listened to what they have to offer sounds like you are all going based off of assumptions! I think you should reconsider and see what they have to offer you! As far as I am concerned they have really helped me out in my job search!

Same here. got a call from bob jones this morning except it was from an area code of 256. he just said his name and that he had a couple of questions about my resume. he left the 866 number and hung up. glad i didnt call back. i reposted my resume at careerbuilder 2 days ago.one more thing for those of us down on our luck to deal with.

Bob Jones called and said he was calling about my resume and for me to call him back. He did say he was with Work Save Retire. The number he called from was 443-681-6911 but left a message for me to call him back at866-994-0381. Thanks for the HEADS UP that will not happen.

I interviewed for a position with this company. They are legit and offer some GREAT resources for anyone that is unemployed. They will also work with you to assist in planning retirement funding.
They are not a recruiting company/placement company, but a company that will help you with your resume to word it with the keywords for the specific job you are applying for, give you the software to search 1,000's of corporate websites, and then help you with planning retirement. The resume building, software, and a talk with the financial adviser are ALL AT NO COST TO YOU, with obligation to buy. I met the owner and seemed to be a very down to earth guy. I have not been offered the job (yet) but wanted to let everyone know they are legit and can help you if you are just struggling to get those interviews.

Yes, I use careerbuilder and many other sites.  Got the call today from Bob Jones at  work save retire stating to call him back at 866-994-0381, but the caller id said 314-766-4611.  This did not feel right so i did not call back, just decided to google as everyone else did.

This is pitiful!

Received a phone call today from 406-206-1221 and was told by the caller they were from Work Save Retire and calling about my resume.  The caller was not able to hear me on my cell phone and said she would call back. She did not.  I tried the number and only got through to a voice mail. I did not leave a message.  I have read all the emails from other people who have received calls and I agree 100% with the people who say there is something fishy with this company. I believe It is not truly a "scam", but an unprofessional and unethical company that preys on people who are out of work.  They should be shut down and found criminally liable for duping unemployed people to waste their time and possibly money by doing business with them.  How do these people live with themselves?  Do they have family, spouses, children?  I feel sorry for anyone who might be related to them.  They are dishonest and morally diseased human beings!

Got a call on my cell phone and being in the middle of something, I was a bit distracted so I agreed to setting a subsequent call with WSR's recruiter later in the morning.  The more I thought about the 'pitch' the more I became suspicious (like, "if it's too good to be true, then it probably is"  and 'there is no such thing as a free lunch") so I decided to research the company before my phone conversation.  JUST AS I SUSPECTED.......from what all of you have posted, this confirms my suspicions.  There is no way I am going to provide personal info (i.e. "how much is your retirement account worth - COME ON!) to a stranger on the phone, nor meet with him at MY HOME (scary)!.  So, when I received the promised email from Heather Wellington to open a client account, view their videos and preview the tools, I decided to send them a return email cancelling my appointment today and requesting no furfther contact and both phone numbers on my resume be added to their "Do Not Call" registry list.   My appointment time came and went and they DID NOT call me, which is good news.  Now I guess I will have to wait and see if they try again in the future, and if so I will be reporting them.  Thanks to everyone for sharing your experiences - you saved me a big headache!  Gotta love the internet!

I kep getting calls from " Bob Jones" also...never have called him back.  Caller ID states he is calling from a local number, however, he leaves the same number as everyone above has shown.  I do not plan on calling him back and now, thanks to some of that posted different names, I have them aslo.  happy job hunting everyone!!!!
