The company active.com works as a support site for processing payments for many smaller groups.  so I participated in a local company event in PA, and when I got this number on my CC statement from CA, I was confused.  Took me some time to connect.

saw on my account that 22.84 was taken out 2 times for something we did not give permission and don't know who it is...

I just checked my credit card statement and sure enough, my tuition for music classes appeared with ACT in front of it and the phone number 877-228-4881 in CA.  My tuition was $400 plus. My credit card company paid ACT, not my school.  No payment has been credited to my school.  I contacted my credit card company and they are checking it out.

By any chance did you sign your kid up for baseball online, or something like that?  I was just about to dispute my $135 charge, when I remembered that was the day I signed my son up for baseball....apparently they use this ACT company as their middle man.

Showed up on my credit card bill as " ACT*SRGSL Register 877-228-4881CA". I think the limited space they have to put something leads to confusion, but luckily SRGSL was there to tip me off that it was the local Girls Softball League.  I'm guessing this is a credit processing service that various cities and charities use.  Appears to be used across the USA based on other posts.

my bank account was charged for $55, i tried calling 8772884881 showing on my bank statement but it was a voicemail, i don't purchase anything online,how did they get my bank acct #?

Charged $150 for something I didn't sign up for!

They told me i had signed up for a "trial membership" at the time I signed up for a race... and then billed me after the "trial" was over. So much bull***t going on here.

This charge is a scam or borderline scam at best:
I called about a $64.95 charge I did not recognize.  They looked up my name and said that when I registered and paid $25 for an event that I was "automatically" enrolled in an Active.com membership with an annual fee of $64.95.  As this was done without my consent or awareness I told them to reverse the $64.95 charge and they said they would.  We shall see if it is removed from my ccard account.

I had a debit of $204 from a CA company with this phone number and it completely freaked me out until I realized it was for my son's day camp I recently signed up for in Kansas. Just in case that triggers any memories for anyone. :)

I freaked out too with this charge but found out that they process payments for other smaller companies, in this case it was a local swimming water park ran by my suburban park district.

It turns out its for my kids summer lesson at the community center.  

I signed my daughter up for a soccer team ran by our city, and the charge came through this number. The amount is correct, but now I'm concerned seeing all these postings...

Unauthorized charge!

I received a $69.99 fee charged to my debit card from active.dot.com which I do not BELIEVE is a legitimate active.com website but a clone.  I didn't sign up for any road races, marathons, or circle jerks that I can recall so it wasn't my charge.  My bank notified me of suspicious activity and declined the charge.
