- Linda TI received a call last week from PDLR (Juan Hernandez) saying I took out a payday loan in December 2008 and that the payback in January, 2009 was not paid due to insufficient funds. He gave me 48 hours to pay $300 or they would suspend my driver's license. If I did not pay within 48 hours, I would owe $1400. I can't believe this people! He called me again today, left a message on my cell and work. I called back and talked to Ms. Carver. She also told me that in Texas, they can't garnish my wages but they would suspend my driver's license. I was also given the P. O. Box 2, Aurora, Ill. She said that since I was refusing to pay the loan, I could only have her P. O. Box address. What a scam. I told her not to call me at work and would you believe, she called me right back and asked for me? I don't know how to get rid of these screwballs!!!

- CC| 1 replyReceived a phone call on my cell this morning from an Unknown number. Woman (sounds American) called to say that action for 25% garnishment was being placed against me for an outstanding payday loan from 2008. The loan is supposingly with United Cash Advance. I have no record of taking a loan with this company. Because I was at work, I asked the woman to call my cell back leave her contact information on my voicemail. The number she left on my voicemail for me to follow-up with her within 72 hours is: 877-269-0088, Ext. 290... name either Miss Rasheed, or Mashee? Name left on voicemail sounds slurred. Originally was receiving calls from men with Indian accents. My loans are paid off, yet still being harassed. And additionally, these people have all of my personal information which means it is most likely being sold every few years.
Prayers for all of us who are continuously being harassed! How do we end this madness?- Caller: PDLR Group (Payday Loan Recovery)

- StayScamFree replies to CCI received a call from PDLR Group today on both work and cell phone they left a voice message with a call back number of 877-258-1158 ext 195 and Gonzales was the female impersonater. I have received these calls in the past from foreigners, however they were way less professional. I know it's a scam, I have taken numerous payday loans out and paid them all back. The company PayDay Loan today funds provided through MetaBank is not one of them. I called Metabank and they have no records of an outstanding loan in my name. Thererfore I called the FBI and was directed to their website, I filed and IC3 claim and also filed a claim with BBB. Oh yes and the loan was for 1,500..LOL since when have payday loan companies been that generous
- jackie OGot a call from ms ortiz to my job three times yesterday - receptionist took message. I called today. Just said I took out a loan for 500.00 and wants to garnish my wages for 2600. For late fees! Never took out a loan. She couldn't tell me date this "Loan" was taken out. I told her to stop calling my job. Legitimate wage garnishments are not "called in". I have not received any info in the mail either. She said she will document that I am refusing to pay. I told her it's a scam and to go ahead and write itdown, take a picture cuz I don't give a .........!! I then told her what she could do with the paper!! This is my second time dealing with this. It's a scam. I reported it to my local police dept for harrassing phone calls. And called the Aurora Police Dept. Report will get forwarded there. When I called back pay day loan recovery, I kept getting answering machine---- please don't give them any information or confirm what little info they have. It's a scam!!!

I keep telling them they are a scam and they keep threatening me. In PA they can't garnish wages anyway jokes on them, not paying or giving them any info.
- Devins GigiI was called by this number AT work on my office number, a Ms Carolyn stated I owed for a pay day loan from PAY DAY 1 one that was charged off a year ago. she stated she was a garnishment recovery company. I ask for a copy of my original loan and she could NOT give me anything.. I called the Pay Day 1 company and I do not nor have I ever owed them money. This is a scam... I tried to call back at the 8772581188 ext 300 and there is no way to even put in an extension. I will tell them that they are a SCAM and report them to the BBB and the MS attorney general office.

- VonnieI received a message today from a Ms. Felix from PDLR stating that they had received a wage assignment. She left a number (877-258-1188), so I returned the call and got a recorded message to leave the same call back number that the original call was made to. So I did. Then I googled them and came to this site. I'm glad I did because I had no idea what this was about. I do know they are not registered with the BBB because I looked them up on that site. The phone number was verified and an Aurora, IL PO Box address was provided, but not anything else. If they call back, I will certainly let them know I'm onto the scam!

- IndyReceived a phone voice mail message at my job stating that I owe money for a loan. The woman said her name was Ms. Gonzaleus and that I need to contact her as soon as possible because my wages were going to be garnished. I don't know what the h--l she is talking about, but this is crazy and I will be glad when these people are caught because they are trying and taking innocent people's money. They need to be put behind bars. I refuse to give them anything.
- A.Y.| 1 replyI received a call at work today from a company called PLDR stating that they were a collection agency and that are about to garnish my wages. The reason for this garnishment because I supposely took a loan with Pay Day Loan back in 2009. I told the lady I never borrow money from those types of places. To make a long story short I told her to kiss my rear end and don't call my place of employment harrassing me about money I don't owe. These scammers must be stopped they are really out of control.

- Yvonne replies to A.Y.Has anyone heard of PDL out of New York? They have called me at work and on my cell. Telling me that they have an affidavit of fraud and theft of property to file against me due to an unpaid payday loan from check-n-go. I did take a payday loan from there in 2010, but it was paid back. These people are telling me that it was in February of this year and Im like don't think so. When I asked for a copy of the affidavit to be faxed to me, Mr. Fields stated that was impossible. Sounds like another scam to me.
- denny heflini got a call from a pdlr who wants to garnish my wages for not paying back a loan from my payday i can't recall this back in 2009. i told this lady miss stiles at this number 8772581188 that i would have to research this from my credit union and it will take some time to do this.im feeling uncomfortable about this call anybody else get this call recently

- MonieThese people called my place of emploement claiming I owe a payday loan dating back to April 2008. I had previously taken pay day loans which is how I'm assuming they have my information. I know for a fact I don't owe them any money and never received any letters stating this. The number they called from was 202-684-7194. And the lady on the phone refused to remove my work number eventhough I gave her my home number. I have asked them to send me a copy of the promisary note and wire transfer to my account and they cannot provide the information. Then someone else called to say they needed to speak with my HR department to verify employment.

- Blondie replies to kady16These people are scum. I'm sorry to see that others are going through this but am so relieved to know that I am not alone. These people are bullies. I have asked them to quit calling my work. When they continued to do so I called and asked why. The guy actually yelled at me and hung up on me. Who runs a business like that?
- aprili recieved a message from the same company with a callback #8776015871. i called them back and the person answered by "helllo" that was a red flag. They then proceeded to tell me that if i didnt pay 1900 today than my payroll would be garnished today. i then proceeded to tell them that i needed proof of the debt and then i would pay. i gave them my fax# and email, so we will see but the same company tried the same thing

- Tracy Moore| 2 repliesReceived 2 calls from a Lisa Perkins stating that she was going to garnish by paycheck if I didn't call her back. At 1-877-601-5871 ext. 253. She was trying to tell me that she was trying to recovery money for a Cash Advance Expert.com company. She had most of my information correct accept the bank account number. When I asked for a number to the company she said that she couldn't give it to me because they had already sent out paper work to me and this was from back in 2010. I asked to talk to her supervisor and she told me to call back after 5pm because she was the head supervisor. I told her I would be calling back because there should be no reason she couldn't give me the number to the supposed cash advance company. Glad I looked up the name of the company and saw all the scam warning out there.
