I got a call from this number today morning, they wanted to verify my address and they told my address correctly and told me that I am approved of a credit card from Citi bank. Actually a couple of weeks ago I have applied for a credit card with the Citi bank through their web site. I was not approved because of "thin file". So thought they probably reconsidered to give me a card. So I gave my last and first names, mother's name and my email ID and then they asked for my SSN# I spelt out 3 digits, then it struck me not to reveal the SSN over phone (I really feel I got lucky today morning), I told her to send info on my email with a phone number, but I did not receive a mail from them.
But I called this  number 888-712-9285 (got this number from this site) in the evening today, a lady took the call, I told her about the call I received in the morning, she told me that she would ask someone to call me, within a few minutes I got a call from the same number 877-326-5877. This time I choose to ignore.

I love somebody's comment here to blow a whistle when receiving their call...its really funny.

This is about the 10th, or more, call I've received from this number. Most of the time, they never leave a message OR when I answer, they hang up.
I am tired of their calls, mostly late evening, and I will take them to court as my number is on the Federal "DO NOT CALL" list

I got the same call from the same fast-talking woman trying to give me credit cards from chase, citi-bank, and discover. she got all of my info besides my SSN because thats the one thing i wouldn't tell them. she was being VERY persistant in trying to get my SSN. So she offered me the same 877 number that i didnt need and a website. when i searched for the website i ended up finding this page. I then put her on hold while i read a few people's entries when i started talking to her again she immediatly asked me for my SSN. i said "nah i'm good you guys are just stealing people's identities there's a whole page dedictated to you." she then starting mumbling and stuttering her words like she just got caught in a lie (which she did) and proceeded to get off the phone as fast as possible...i just said bye and hung up on her stuttering [***] haha, if this number calls you don't bother telling them anything they're just trying to steal your identity like the guy above me pointed out. call them out on it see what happens lol

If you will listen more carefully, what they say is "pre-selected" and not "pre-approved".

By the way. I just received my credit card from Chase. I don't like the card so I'm not activating it but the point is, they do apply you. And I never applied for a card with any other companies aside from favorite credit cards/central card processing so obviously, my application came from them.

They asked me for my d.o.b. mothers maiden name and my social security number before they would send me these low intrest no annual fee credit offers that i had been preselected for.I then responded "no thanks" and told them to take my number out of their system and to not call back.

Recieved a phone call from this number and upon answering, whoever it was hung up. I called the number back and it told me to log on to centralcardprocessing.com... I have been scammed like this before, and I know from experience that I will never give out any personal information unless I am absolutely sure that I was the one inquiring about whatever it is in the first place. I can't believe that people will try to take you for your money. If this person were standing in front of me right now, I would punch them in the face!

Hello, this is __________ from the Central Card Processing department and I’m looking for _________?

The reason for my call is to inform you that you’ve been pre-selected to receive credit cards such as Citibank and Chase. For your protection, these cards are not yet active. Most important, please note that there are NO ANNUAL PROCESSING OR ACTIVATION FEE and we are collecting NO fees from you for our service. You are also guaranteed the lowest qualified rate with access to cash and ATM’s worldwide.

Again, all requested credit card information will strictly confidential and sent to you through to you via U.S. mail. No need to send them back.

So what I need to do to complete this process is just ask you a few questions needed to confirm your details, OK?

I signed up with them like an idiot, they took $3.95 out of my account and said I had a 14 day free trial for E-club USA with a $5000 credit limit. I asked 14 days from when? He said 14 days from the date you receive your package. Guess what? Right, no package. Yesterday they took out $89.00 from my account and ran it into the negative, now I have NSF charges, etc. I called 1-877-326-5877, kept saying all CS people were busy, then beeped into VM. I called back like 5 times and finally got a human being (with an indian accent). He gave me a number 1-877-532-2800 which is the number for E-Club Customer Service, I waited in Cue for about 10 minutes and Michelle answered. They refunded my $89 (so they say, we'll see in 3-5 business days)! She actually asked me if I wanted to have another 14 day free trial, can you believe the kahunas these people have.
