They call every single day even though they've been told they have the wrong number. Blocked them on my phone.

I have been getting these calls from Allied Interstate for a long time. The person they are looking for does not live here and I told them so twice. They still call. I filed a complaint online with the State of Maine Dept. Of Professional and Financial Regulation, Bureau of Consumer Credit Protection. Allied is licensed and regulated by the State of Maine. They are now investigating my complaint with Allied Interstate. It's illegal for Allied to keep calling after the debtor tells the debt collector to stop calling under FDCPA. This is Federal Law and Maine Law. I am not even the person they're looking for and I told them to stop calling but they still called. Allied has until Sept. 13, 2010 to respond to the State of Maine's Staff Attorney. My advice to everyone is to file a complaint with your state or the Federal Government.

I filed complaints with the FTC and FCC in June. The calls stopped, until September 1st. Since then I have received over 50 calls, from 8:13 am to 8:44 pm. They call up to 3 times a day. Why? They already know that and I am not the person that they are looking for. I just don't understand what these clowns hope to get from this.
I will not pay you money that I do not owe!
I will again file similar complaints to the FTC and FCC, I should get another 2 month break...
What happened to the law that a written bill must be sent? Maybe they do send some. They have not sent any to me, because they do not know my name/address and I do not owe them. So some other person gets harrassing letters at their home (the same way I get the phone calls) and he/she doesn't know why...
I doubt it, postage costs....robo calls cost nothing.

these people never give up, yesterday they called 7 times in an 8 hour period.  answered on speaker, never said a word, after 10-12 seconds they disconnect.  my phone number is new to me and if they don't have the balls to say who they are, I'm not going to answer their calls, I'll just keep putting them on speaker and wait for them to speak.  Since they have a bank of phone numbers, they just keep switching around on their call numbers.  They must think people are really stupid!!

My fax number has gotten a daily morning call from this outfit, that shows up as "800 service" on caller ID, for months!  They must have an automatic dialer that is programmed to do this.  Why me, Lord?  I phoned the associated callback number, 8773756992, and got a receptionist with a strange accent on the other end.  She wanted to know if I was some person, mumbled a name I could not understand, and said she would take my fax number off the list, whatever that means.  She seemed reluctant to identify the company she was working for, but I gather it is Allied Interstate.  We'll see if the morning fax ring ever stops.  I say fight 'em by any legal means we have. These people are jerks to run a business this way.

I finally talked to a person.  When I informed them I was a retired Assistant Chief of Police the calls have stopped for now anyway.

It's Allied Interstate. They called for someone who I don't know. Just told them that and they said they would take my number off the list. They said it could take 24-48 hours to do so, so we'll see if they stop.

Calls muliple times a day!!  Digusted with the laws in this country....

this # has been calling my house for appx. 3 yrs anywhere from 4 up to 8 times in a day and 7 days a week we answered a few times and they asked for Douglas McDowell we told them their is no one with that name here to stop calling but the calls keep coming we just don't answer. Monday I had enough of the phone ringing by this # I answered and when someone responded on the other end I said I do not know who you are and I do not care what you want stop calling my house and hung up on them. My phone has not rung by that # since this is Thursday.

These people are bottom feeders, they keep calling looking for someone who does not live here, I talked to a woman named grace, you could here her voice shake when i told her we are recording all of there calls, and am going to file charges with the State Attorney General, We also warned her we are going to buy an air horn and blast there ears any time they call in the future.

These morons call several times a day lately .   They used to call  months ago but just quit one day ..   Anyway they are back .  I have never talked to them . I answered a few times this week but it is a recording that  they are trying to collect a debt ....bla bla  ...  I couldn't say a thing ..   When the answer machine is on they leave no messages ??   WEIRD !     I AM NOT CALLING THEM   LOL  !!

These people call from 7am till 9pm almost every hour.  I have gone so far as to unplug my phone to stop these calls.  My husband works nights and does not need to be having phones ringing all day.  Anyone who wants me calls me on my cell.  I have no idea who these people are.  I don't answer it. I agree with FED UP.  I will get a whistle and blow it next time.
