I got a call from this number and don't know the person they were looking for - I think this is a Scam.  I asked to be taken off their call list in the future.  We'll see if that gets processed.  Don't answer if they call you.

Been getting phone calls Caller ID says is from 22222222239 Says they are Amex and want to talk about a 'business deal' .....Did not answer 2nd and 3rd calls .  Today 877 443 0144 said they were Amex and I'm behind in my account.  I Hung up - called Amex direct - No problems  - Scam Deal....

I received numerous calls from this number the past 3 days. When I finally answered, I told them that yes, I have accounts with Amex. They couldn't find my name or number in their system EVEN THOUGH they stated I had to call them back right away. They even gave a reference number that they couldn't find. They persisted that I verify with them my SSN. That threw a red flag. In my 14 years with Amex, they've never asked for my social to look up an account. I called Amex to verify and they said no one has called me for my account and I have a representative working on the account. They show in their records that I am not to be disturbed, so this is a fraudulent business number. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!

Same here for the last 3 days. I have auto reject on them now.

I just got a call on my cell phone from this number. I looked it up here, and I see that it is American Express. I've never had an Amex card in my life. I'm suspicious.

They just called me for the first time today. When I answered, all I heard was someone (very poorly)"singing" in the background. I ended up ending the call after a minute.

They called me and claimed I called them . They wanted me to provide them with my  personal information so I just hung up. be careful its a scam

This is a 3rd party service of american express.  Asked for social... do not give them any info as they are a 3rd party service.

An Indian guy called this morning claimed to be American Express. After being told that I do not and never had an account from them, the guy required to speak to me. He was harsh and hard to understand with a thick accent. I hanged up.

They called me-no msg. So I have call this # to find who is calling. I did talk to someone from American Express. I wish this girl spoke ENGLISH!!!!!!!! Cannot find my name-so I told them-do not call me again a**hole!! I hung up!!

SCAM  --calling for india said he is directly employed by AMEX.  He was asking for several names that i did not know but would not hang up so  I said yeah what do you need.   He wanted to know when i would pay back the $50,000 on amex and I told him never.   Actually I never had an Amex card but did not tell him that.  He asked why I would not pay and I told him because some jerk in a call center in India who works for pennies took my job.  He then asked so your never want to pay and I said yep I got 6 more card and I will run them up until I am cut off…..told him its the American way he should try it...He slammed me .

They have been harassing me with a paid off debt to American Express.

This is not AMEX.  This is a debt collector.  They are constantly calling our business line looking for someone who does not work for us.

Started calling a few days ago on my cell - I let it go to voice. Once each morning and once each night.  I answered one time accidentally - and it was a male with a foreign accent. I ended the call before he could continue.  Very annoying and a waste of my minutes. I think there have been enough complaints about this, that something should have been done by now.

Just received a call- definitely scam. tried to keep me on the phone. I asked what it was regarding and he asked for my bday to confirm it was me, i said no, you called what is this about. he then told me a persons name that has my last name to make a connection- total BS. after i asked what is it about again (and a professional company would NEVER call without  purpose) he said my business is with you. Seemed like he was stalling for time. Hung up on him. So ridiculous.

They like to call every now & then just to make sure I haven't forgotten them. What kick do these jerks get out of doing this? Don't answer!!

They continue to call my mom up to 5 times a day

same message 2 days in a row at about the same time of day.  the caller speaks with an accent, gives a name I cannot understand, says he is calling from American Express looking for someone who is not I.  Insists it is important that I call back.  caller ID says only TOLL FREE

Says it is AmEx, looking for my ex of 10 years. Calls about once a week.

I am on the no call list and they keep calling
