THIS IS A SCAM! I will tell you how to find out yourself easy. You can see the letters VOID very faintly if you look closely. Do not hold it up to the light, put it on the desk and you can see it in the blue. If you take a photocopy of it using a printer it will show up perfectly. I'll show you my scam check from "Physician Practice Operations In Antioch TN." https://imgur.com/a/tqg4V4T

The scam is you deposit the check, it bounces after a few days, and then you give them a call saying it bounced and they go "Omg I'm so sorry that happened can I please get your name and social security number so we can get this fixed for you!" DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO WHATSOEVER! I see several of these scammers IN THIS THREAD LYING saying it's real. If its from these people it's not real.

TLDR: PHOTOCOPY THE CHECK AND YOU WILL SEE THE VOID LETTERS HIDDEN IN THE BACK. Good luck and don't fall for the scam!

    Shill Posts reported. Also Spamming.

Do you always look the phone number of a "compnay you used to work for"?  Just to make sure they are being treated right in posts here?  The old "Company I Used to Work For Gambit", eh?

So how do you know who the doctor is if they only list the office and provide a patient number. Why would my hospital use a facility in the middle of nowhere. Fraciscan definitely aint sending me a refund check from this scammy company...

Hey y'all so I dug deeper into this check alot of people are recieving from the physician practice support llc. If you google map the address of Antioch, TN it will list a company called CHS. Go to their website and look up the location for hospitals and clinics for your state. I found out that one of the clinics I visited in Feb was on this list. Check it out for yourselves! #theTRUTH

Im sure everyone would do that if that information were provided. Consider asking more questions before you pull out the conjured attitude.

So neither you nor anyone else in this thread knows who their doctor is?  I would hope that everyone who has a doctor knows who he/her is and how to contact his/her office.  That should be a no brainer.  However I guess maybe some people (like you) don't know who their doctor is?

What company name is on the check? No cover letter? You might be able to call them, but since posts here are going back 6+ years and no one has ever called, I am guessing you won't either.

There are even companies that make a fake check that is an advertisement, the check is supposed to represent the money you would save if you use this company. The checks should be marked as void or non-nonnegotiable, but they can hide that pretty well.

Based on the posts here - excluding posts from various shills - I am about 98% sure this is some sort of scam, trickery or shenanigans, and the checks are probably no good at all.

To "Scott" - You are very sure of yourself, but did you get a check? Sounds like you didn't or you would been able to address the questions/concerns I had posted a couple of weeks ago.

This is a site about phone numbers and phone calls, do you have any hard info based on calls from this number?

Got a check just like everyone else here today.  Details all the same as you all.  The most enlightening fact (or outpoint) is all my medical costs are paid with a credit card.  If the doctor or hospital wanted to refund me they'd simply issue a credit to that card.  And, if an overpayment was truly made why wouldn't the doctor, hospital or lab just send it to me themselves?   The stub lists an invoice number, date and patient ID #.  None of them are any of the paperwork, bills, receipts, etc. issued by my doctors, labs or hospitals I've been to in the last 3 months. This really does smell like a scam and since the "refund" was only for $17.60 there is no further interest in it.

    Hello,
I reached out to Wells Fargo Bank Treasury Department. I gave the following routing and account number listed on the bottom of the check. A representative from Wells Fargo Bank stated, "They have an active account, listed in their database for-Physician Practice Operations located out of TN." I was also told that, it is a legitimate company. However, I was advised that without them seeing the actual check, it could be fraudulent. I'm going to have someone, from Wells Fargo verify the physical check, upon getting clarification; I'll post another update.
I hope this helps others, who may have received a check form Physician Practice Operations.

Based on the posts here going back several years, you are right to be skeptical. Too many posts about money coming out of nowhere with little or no explanation. Something for nothing events are worth being skeptical about.  And the posts here that have been removed indicate Shills and Trolls have been visiting this thread.

I am not clear if "...it is a legitimate company" was your wording or what a Wells Fargo rep said, but it is important to know there is a difference between Actual and Legitimate. Looks to me that there may be an Actual company, but that does not make the company or their actions Legit.

The checks have no doctor name on them. It has “your doctor’s office”, not his name.
