"why are you calling me? Where are you calling from?" ask if they understand english, and repeat it...againa and again - quietly and peacefully. They get VERY irritated. Tell them "I am a US resident, may I speak to someone stateside?". Then repeat the mantra. They will hang up.

Report them to your congressman.

I've been getting calls from these clowns for a couple of weeks now.  Please understand that this is a criminal enterprise that tries to extract money from innocent people.  Getting drawn in to a conversation with them about whether you have or have not ordered CDs/downloaded music/owe anyone money etc is pointless because they are making it up as they go along.  Don't get drawn in to a conversation and don't disclose any details of any sort.

Just for my own entertainment I've started calling them several times a day (with *67) and either hanging up on them or hurling random abuse.  Doesn't achieve anything of course, but it makes me feel better :-)

I've received 6 calls today from the same guy who has repeatedly told me to shut up, called me a [***] said that he's going to call the police and have me arrested - he's calling my cell phone and won't stop. I can't seem to get a bill from these people to even see what they're trying to collect on - which is a mute point anyway since I don't have any negative accounts.  I can't understand him well enough to discern his name, the company name, anything.  He wont' tell me the address of the company - he just keeps calling.  I"m going to have a police report filed as soon as I get the information and then I'll send a cease and desist to the company certified mail and first class with delivery confirmation.

Okay, so I was receiving calls from these people and everytime they asked for someone else...and I told them to stop calling and remove my number from the list, they just hung up on me...so I looked up the number, called them back, shouldn't have give my real name and its some Takhar company...its always the same Indian person that calls. I am sick of this, I called back and left a message to remove my name from the list. We'll see if anything happens. If not, I am going directly to my phone company to see what they can do.

I've decided to be EXTREMELY rude and offensive to whomever calls me from either 2 numbers.  I say hey, why not have fun with it.  Its actually a reaaly great way to let off some steam!  Ive been called by this number a great amount of times and have decided to f*ck with them until they hang up on me!  haha always good for a story or laugh when company is over

had second call from this today - i quickly called them back - same crap. i owe $150 to columbia house dvd club.  i said send me a bill, they said they did, i said don't think so. told them if they have my cell phone number they must have my address - so send me a bill and never call me again.  in line with the fair debt collection act of the usa - once i tell you i prefer to do this in writting if you call me again - i sue you.

This number calls me at least twice a day.
In fact, I just had a missed call from em. Sometimes they call from an all 0 (zero) number. It's really starting to freak me out.

They were calling hot & heavy for awhile, then stopped and then called me again last night.  The first time I spoke with someone (about a month ago) it was some Indian girl.  She refused to give me any concrete information and wanted me to give her my credit card # so I could pay an old Columbia House bill.  Like hell I would do that!  I told her I'd never heard of it, and to send me an invoice or some kind of proof.  She refused to and kept me on the phone for 15 minutes.  Then this Indian-sounding joker called me yesterday identifying himself as "Eric Woods" with Takhar Group in Niagra Falls, NY.  He gave me the same story about CH and said that if I didn't settle the matter it would go on my credit for "7 long years".  I also told him to provide me with some kind of documentation, which he refused to do for a very flimsy reason.  He finally gave me his companies website www.takhargroup.com and it looks very fishy.  So I Google it and arrived here.  Thank God I did!  I was close to paying these morons because they refuse to get you off the phone and keep repeating the same drivel over-and-over again to get you to give them your credit card or bank info.  I feel sorry for anybody who falls for their crap because they want to protect their credit rating.

I just got a call from this number. I may have gotten them before, I don't really remember. An Indian sounding guy asked for someone (couldn't understand the name). I just said he had the wrong number, and he said "OK, I'm sorry." Will I be getting more calls now?

I keep getting a call from this number and they ask for someone. I say they have the wrong number and they still keep calling. Always asking for someone different.

This number keeps calling me, but because I am so smart I actually fell for their scam. I am trying to clean up credit so when they said I had an outstanding balance for BMG I thought...Ok...So I gave them credit card information (DOPE) and let them process it for $90.00. Then today when I checked my bank account I had charges on their for Boost Mobile. I immediately called my bank and had them cancel my card and issue a fraud alert on my account. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. They just called my cell phone again, but I did not answer this time.

BEWARE!!

These freaks call me at like 6 am!! It's ridiculous, I never answer b/c I'm still sleeping, but isn't that against the law, that even if you're looking for someone to collect a debt, it's illegal to call before a certain time? It's harassment. Anyways, don't deal with these people.

O'Neal has been calling from this number.  He told me,  I brought something from Columbia House back in 2002.  Back in 2002 and this is 2008 get real I told him.  I don't owe anyone any money and I wasn't going to pay.  I talk to him again and I told him the same thing again.  I, just got another call and this time there no one on the phone.  Dead air!  I told him I was going to report them to the Attorney General's office and add their to name for  harassment on the complain line.

This number has called several times. They are calling for my wife and they ask if I pay her bills. I told them I pay some and they then say that they cannot talk to me.  They do not speak very good english.  I told my wife and she called it back to see what this is all about. It acted like it was gonna connect to a rep but then sent her to vm. Let's just say the vm she left was not so nice. What is funny though is that the voice on the vm is someone speaking perfect english but when someone calls you and you answer it is always someone foreign.  

And just a little information about some collection agencies.  Some are paid to try and collect on accounts that are way overdue....stuff that is years old and technically this is somewhat illegal b/c it is past its expiration date so to speak. Companies only have so long to collect and if its not done within that time it is sent to collections and they only have so long before it is dropped from your credit.  And if you pay on something that is not on your credit any longer, guess what?  It brings it back up...best to just leave it alone...its already brought your credit down once.

These people called looking for my wife. He sounded Arab. They had our last name, but only had her nickname, not her full name. They claimed they were representing Columbia House. We never ordered anything from Columbia House. I had a lot of fun screwing with the [***] on the other end of the line. He got so pissed, he hung up on me.

I got a call from the number 877-466-5701 Sept. 29, 2008.  When I asked who and why they were calling and how they got my number, they hung up.

This company' been calling me the past few days and talk in a VERY harassing voice to me. They guy was obviously from India and was saying he was from TCS collection services trying to get money from me for a year old Columbia House DVD account. I don't have a Columbia House DVD account and have never recieved anything in the mail about owing money for such a thing. I've lived at the same address for the past five years. They only call my cell number. When I called the number back a few days later, the same guy who called me a few days before answered the phone. It seems very shady. I know this is a scam and want it to stop! They were trying to get money from me over the phone. SCAM! BEWARE!

So I just get home from work and see that I had a message on my home phone.  I always look at the caller id first, then listen to messages.  The CID said "Unknown Name 110-000-0000".  The message was a recording...rushed speaking over the company name then that it was "imperative" that I call them at 1 877-466-5701.  Since I couldn't understand the company name I googled it and came here.   I may have an old bill with them, I'm really not sure.  If I do, it's old.   I just think it's weird.   And annoying.

Someone from this number keeps calling me over and over again; I've asked them to remove my cellphone number from their data base, but they still call, only more now than before.  My first reaction is to rip out their throat and piss on their spine, but difficult to accomplish on a cellphone.  They were asking for Damacus Love.
