I've been getting calls from this number again and again.  At first I told them they had a wrong number.  They still called.  I told them to remove me from their database.  They still called.  I got really rude with them.  They still called.  Then I got an email about not returning calls from area code 809 because is was a scam and that if you called the number, you'd be charged $2,450 per minute.  So when they called again today, I told them that the guy they were trying to get in touch with was no longer my boyfriend and gave them his phone number at work (809) 382-5968; then I encouraged them to call him often and harrass him until they got their money because he was just being a deadbeat.  Each time they call that number, they'll be billed the minimum of $2,450.
Revenge is sweet.

this is care group that it is impertive that you call back imedilty some times the full number shows up on m y cell sometimes it is 0000000 they call me everyday and even at night i dont know what it is for

These dumb [***] have called me 8 times in the last 20 minutes. They refuse to send me any confirming information so that I may file a police report. It's just a bunch of smart ass Indian guys looking to make a buck off of dumb ass people.

Eats Indians kept calling looking for someone else, 5 times a day on my new cell # called them from my house phone to tell them for the LAST time knock it off and they added the number to their file!!!!!  I called A T @ T PHONE SECURITY.

this is a bill collector he was from India so it was hard to understand him

Clownshoes [***] or Indian guys trying to scam people.  Though I'm a federal investigator, I don't deal with this crap much.  I called from a different line and asked what kind of business they were in.  He wouldn't tell me.  I told him about the FCC regs, but he didn't care, which tells me it's probably all run from overseas and no one is going to touch these guys.  I was concerned I might be receiving charges just by answering my phone, but this board has lessened those fears.  Maybe it's time to have a little fun with them.  Tell them I can't talk - I'm eating hamburger from a freshly killed cow or something.....

They keep on calling looking for someone else.
I have asked them to remove me from the list.  They claim that they do then couple hours later they call back.

I am sending a stop letter today.  Once I have the confirmation back, I will take them to small claims if they keep on calling.

these people suck....like a bad rash... i dont even own a cd, dvd player, so why would i buy some thing from colombia house

If you do not recognize a number, do not answer your phone. If nobody ever answers these calls, they will stop. Do not call them back or become upset. These calls are a ploy by the cell phone providers, propogated by the sale of our phone numbers to anybody willing to pay for them, to increase usage, and therefore increase charges and provide them justification for more bandwidth allocation. If nobody ever answers these calls, then the calls will not generate the desired effect. The calls will then become an expensive liability to the callers, and they will be forced to stop.

If somebody calls you from a number you do not recognize, and it is important, they will leave an important message. Then, you can call them back.

Calls multiple times, never leaves a message

These people TCS just called me at 10 minutes to midnight!  When I told him "kevin" what time it was, he said "are you sure?"  Also called at 10:30pm and 10pm.  BMG charged me for a shipment I never got and reshipped.  They billed me both times, then processed a credit for the lost shipment, then started billing me for it again.  I called when I got the new billing and explained what happened, but said I had to PROVE IT.  That was April 2007.  Now these idiots are making long distance INTERNATIONAL phone calls, bugging me.  I'm sure they've spent over the $40 they claim I owe them, and they can keep spending their money talking to my recorder.

These IDIOTS called me DURING Thanksgiving Dinner with my family!!! I very rudely said, "You're calling me ON Thanksgiving while I am having dinner with my family?!?!?" And the "broken english, Indian guy, maybe," repeated my name AGAIN! I said "NO! I'm having Thanksgiving Dinner with my family!!!" He then said, "The reason I am calling you is...." But I shouted AGAIN "IT'S THANKSGIVING!!" And hung up the phone! I mean WOW! ON THANKSGIVING?!?!?!

I receive calls from this number all the time. They never give me the story that is mentioned by most of you.
They tell me that I won a four day cruise with free airfare! All I have to do is show up to some meeting that lasts an hour. They also say I need to show them two forms of ID~!
I think it is a scam, so I never answer anymore.

This number called me twice today! They said I needed to call them back as soon as posible, but they were asking for someone I never heard of!

I have been receiving calls from this company everyday for about 2 weeks now. They claim I owe them $47.18 for CD's from BMG. Funny, I've never done business before with Columbia House or BMG due to the fact they are so grossly over priced on the same stuff I could get at Wal-Mart for $5.

They tried that crap with ruining my credit report and when I advised him I work for a credit reporting agency (which I do, so I know what can and can NOT damage your credit) they said, 'Oh, have a nice day then' and hung up fast.

I keep getting calls from this number. They dont leave messages. who is this?

I got 2 calls from these a**holes.  Bangladeshie English-very broken.  They're looking for some guy named Robert Johnson.  How they got my number for a Robert Johnson is beyond me.  I told them they had the wrong number and to not call again.  They called later that afternoon.  I had to resort to calling him a "non English speaking pr*ck" and threaten charges to get him to go away.  

If these people keep contacting you, files charges under violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  Let them know you're going to do that too.

I get 3 to 4 calls from them a day. They are asking for ppl I don't know and when I say you have the wrong number they reply " Really you sound like Jessica. I say well I am not Jessica." They get mad and call me names and tell me I need to pay my F&^%ing Bills. I am sick of it. Then they call back asking for someone named Mary. Its all mind games to them. There should be some laws to protect us from this kind of harassment.

I have gotten a few calls from these people. I don't understand the messages they leave. I'm not paying anyone anything if that is why they are calling
