There is absolutely NO WAY I'm going to leave my name, address and phone number on an answering machine the purports to be citibank...  what happened to the Do Not Call list we all signed up for?

I at first thought this was Citibank then I did a little reasearch and found this on a BBB site for Spokane, WA. Apparenly it's not Citibank but a person that ends up using the information for ID Theft! Glad I never verified anything with them.

This young man,( he says his name is justin zimmerly) (another time another caller says his name is aaron sheldrick- the phone number he gave was:877-607-8870) keeps calling our home phone number. He asks to speak to my daughter, who does not live here. He asks me if he can leave a phone number to be reached at when I give her the message. Today he asks me to give him my daughters phone number so he can talk to her. he says the phone number that he had was no longer in service. I told him that she had a new number but I did not know it. He started getting rude and interrupting me when I told him I did not know her number and to stop calling this number. He says shes your daughter and you don't know her number? Then he would not quit talking. He says why can't I just leave a number? You mean your daughter has never spoken to you about 'viking'? and I said well, in all the times you have called you have never mentioned a business....he says let me give you a phone number and you give her the message that I want her to call me back. I said how 'bout you give me your number and I will turn you into the Better Business Bureau? He starts up again about just give me her number,Ma'am. At that point I hung up on him.

it is citibank. Just call them back at the same number and enter #1 while the machine is speaking to you. you will then be prompted to enter your telephone number at which you would like them to stop calling. they say it may take 30 days to remove you from their marketing list.

I have been geting 4-5 calls from this number every day.  My recorder is on and there is never a message left.  I will get rid of my CITI bank card if that is what it takes.  I will call the number and try the do not call idea.  Thanks.  My son told me about finding the business on google.

I just called the number back too and followed the prompts - enter my number and the machine tells me I will be taken off the list and placed on the "DO NOT CALL " list for Citibank - hope it works too - we will see : )

I also contacted City Bank, and was told this was a different company. But they would see what they coud do. So we will see........D

I returned this call so I could update my clients phone calls while they are away.  It's a company called "Payment Aide"

This is Citibank trying to sell services to its credit card customers. They call so often you'd think they're a collection agency. I have told them to not call me any more or I will cancel my card with them. My number is on the Do Not Call list, but apparently that makes no difference to them.

Calling 877-507-2031 back gets you an automated system where you can get your number off their list. Just stick with it and keep selecting options that sound right. I have just placed my number on Citibank's do not call list. Of course, it will take up to 30 days to take effect. So now we'll see what happens.

I too receive many calls all times of the day, back-to-back, and at inopportune times.  Just followed the above prompts to be taken off of the Citibank Do Not Call list.

For those irritated by telemarketers,solicitors etc, if you know it is one of them calling (caller ID) Just pick up and right away pretend to be some sort of business, I prefer a pizza company and just Hello Dominos Pizza would you like to try our 2 for 1 special? Will this be a pickup or delivery? I give them not to much time to reply. They are usually pretty suprised. Last time I did this the caller said oh this is a business I am sorry I will remove this number. Solicitors cannot call businesses. Try it and have fun.

viking is a bill collection agency.

They call several times a day and don't leave a message.  Today it has reached 13 times, so I started looking online for information.  I followed the advice of others on this website and called the number back.  I didn't recognize the name of the company during the automated answering, but after following the prompts and entering my number, "Citibank" was mentioned, and I was given the option of removing my number from their list.  We'll see!

I do not want credit card protection.  I pay on time, so please stop calling my number......

This is Citibank selling some sort of credit card insurance or protection.

Unwanted calls from this number have been invading privacy & annoying people for years - I found on-line posts about it dating back to 2007.  Apparently the national DNC list is ineffective to stop them.

We recently began receiving  PITA calls almost daily from this outfit in spite of being on the national DNC list.  Although our telephone permits number blocking, it still allows one (irritating) ring every time before a call is cut off.  The phone is a Panasonic model KX-TG6533; this is not a recommendation, believe me.  

On call-back, following the "press 1 to continue" instruction let me easily reach the option to be removed from their calling list. I was only asked to enter my complete phone number to complete the removal request.  Although compliance was promised within 30 days, we'll see.

Warning: Others have reported being asked also for zip code, address, and last name.  DO NOT GIVE ANY SUCH INFORMATION because it puts you at risk for identity theft.  The telephone number alone should be sufficient for removal from any legitimate company's calling list.  

Others have reported the company identifies (eventually) as Citibank.  If that is fact, what a stupid marketing ploy!  If not a fact, then Citibank ought to have a strong business interest in getting this nonsense stopped.  Let Citibank know how those calls make you feel about ever doing any business with Citibank.  You can easily contact Citibank security by email from their website; no Citibank account required.

I called the number back, pressed option 1, entered my home number and it asked it I wanted my phone number taken out of the Citibank's marketing database.  I answered "1" for yes,  and it says it may take up to 30 days for my number to be removed...it BETTER work, I'm so sick of these calls too!

these unrelenting [***] just wont quit. i have a citi bank CC, i'm going to cut it up and maybe i will get some peace from them. not a good way to do bussiness. i look at it this way: if someone did happen to answer, you couldnt understand them anyway.

I get these calls seveal times a day also.  Recently I placed on order for an item my wife saw on Television.  Instead of calling the 800 number I made the purchase online.  When asked for a phone number I gave them Citi's number.  Now they can get all the calls that the company on Television wil be making.
