877-591-2661 Texted with another number to call them and posing as Comenity Bank regarding my Lending Club payment and included another number to call. I knew it was a scam because Lending Club no longer works through Comenity Bank and because I document all the payments I make and my payment last month was on time.

I was told this was comenity capital Bank and to call. I called comenity that I usually call and they said that they did not contact me.

I received a text to call Comenity Bank and was provided the number to call. I did call and was told to igore the message.

I got a text message with my name: Call Comenity Bank RE: Talbots @ 877-591-2661 and it included a link. Deleted!

Received a text to call this number regarding my Ulta account but this number is not associated with my account nor do they contact me through text but through secure message on my account.

Received text from this number reading: “ We keep missing you, call Comenity Capital Bank RE: Sephora Card @ 877-213-6644 or cbnk.co/S1MQXYDHDB. To stop texts reply STOP for help reply HELP”, I also keep getting multiple calls a day from random OH numbers and they pop up as “Account Services”. It’s weird too cause they even messaged my husband about this. I do have an account with them but my payments are up to date and it doesn’t match their service number on my card?

I keep receiving the same text about calling at 877-591-2661 or click the link. I did not click or call but contacted the company y hiding my account and they did not message me. Do not click that link!!

This is very strange. I've never received a text from Comenity prior to this. For a couple of weeks, we were not able to even access our account because of a "Planned Sytem Update". Rumors were floating around on social media that this was in fact a data breach. Now that I'm receiving bizarre texts, I'm leaning towards that conclusion as well. I never click on any random links. If you get a text from this number, delete it.

Then how do you explain all the people who don't have an account at that bank that are getting these text messages?

Received a text message to call this number 877-591-2661 or contact another email address. Re: something from Talbots.  I did not/will not call.  My Talbot's account is up to date.

Thanks for the info! Just started being spammed with texts from this number 3 days ago. Will block. I wish there was more we could do, but at least we can check in here.

There is more that you can do. You can forward the text to 7726 so that they will be blocked by phone carriers.

I replied with a not at all nice response, to which they responded with a return text "You opted out....."

I also received a text from the 877 number and was very grateful to see these warning texts. Deleted!

Just got this msg. They are still doing this. Wondering how they got my information. Is the weak link Talbots or Comenity or both?

Got the same text message as others stated about Talbots and also voicemail on my landline with different call back number- I didn’t respond to either one!

I reported the phone number 8775912661 to  reportfraud.ftc.gov   With enough reports submitted, maybe the FTC will catch and shut them down.  Apparently, because Comenity is identified as a Credit company, their calls & texts cannot be blocked on the national do not call list.
