I sometimes get calls from this number several times  day.  Of course, there's nobody there when I pick up.  It's a nuisance.  i wonder how it can be stopped.

They have been calling for a week, blocking them. I actually picked up today and no answer.

Nice web page, mds link, for what is essentially a nuisance call. They represent pro-life org., Salvation Army, Republican Nat, Comm...

These people call ALL the time! Several times a day sometimes. It's so aggravating!

Looked up number and came up opp''s invalid number.  Weird.

I am listed on the national DNC list!

The call I received was asking for donations to the VFW.  I have supported them in the past but will do so no more.  I'll find other service organizations that do not resort to these infuriating calls.

You have to call the # back to be taken off the list.

We got a Panasonic corded-cordless phone a few months ago that has a built-in call blocker. I save the number to the 'block call' list, and from now on they get a busy signal from our phone and we hear nothing. It's wonderful! Unfortuately, the 'block call' list is limited to I think 30 numbers, but that should take care of quite a few annoying calls.

Rec 7 calls from various 877 #...I call back to leave a message to rec my # from their Company wide listing.  They are for Charitable, as well as political donations. They are EXEMPT from the National DO NOT CALL LIST!!  You need to return the call...and leave yur # to be purged. They state in a taped message that it will take several weeks!!

Just call the number back, you will get a recording. After the recording just leave the number they called you at and state that you'd like to be completely removed from all their call lists. The calls should stop in a couple of days to a week.

Yeah you know what I do???? I found a wesite that had a picture perfect sound of a fax machine connect/receiving... You know that annoying sound when someone is sending a fax and you anser the phone? Well, I called them back. Three times. In a row. A different operator answered each time... And I played that sound. I wonder why they hung up on me each time... Only that wasn't this number. I did that with Discover Financial. I decided they were gonna call me 3-4 times a day, I would return the favor. We had some fun cracking up after they said Discover Financial How may I -----SCHREEEEEECHHHHH------ *Click* *beep beep beep beep* LOL!!!!!

  I discovered that this is a fundraising company (MDS Communications) and as such are not covered by the DNC regs. They do have a website however and you can request your number be taken off their call list (for five years - hah!).

Ironically, they say on their site that they understand if you do not want to be called. That being the case, why don't they abide by the DNC regs even if they're not covered by them? So much for understanding. I suspect their honesty.

I would guess there is a better chance that any info you give them will be sold to others.  How about compiling a long list of the calls and dates and times for each call and when you have maybe 200, send the list to the BBB and the Atty's General in your state, their state, and the Federal A G with a complaint.

how can this number keep calling me when I am on the Do Not Call list? Other posters are correct, if you answer and say hello, hello, no one is ever there! No way to get rid of them! So annoying.

I get up to 10 anonymous unwanted calls a day. This was the first one tonight to actually ask to speak to me when my machine picked up. Apparently thought I was stupid enough to call back. I NEVER answer unknown phone calls.

They just called my number and said they were from Judical Watch with a very important update and then I hung up.
