I've heard MDS raises for some pretty questionable organisations where a lot of their donations get rolled back into telemarketing and/or "administration". Even if they say it's for a well-known charity, how do we know it's the real one? Also, it's been my experience that if you give money to one telemarketer then others will swarm you like seagulls after a scrap of bread. I'll donate through church, work, or charity web pages on my own, thanks, and NEVER give to ANYONE who calls on the phone.

They called this morning - said he was from the Salvation Army.

I went to the MDS Communications web site and you can sign up for "their" do not call list (since they are a non profit fund raising telemarketer exempt from the National Do Not Call list).  

Another site similar to this one regarding unwanted calls, stated they have had success in not receiving any more calls when they have gone through the process on the MDS site (see the link above to remove your number).

This number keeps calling at all hours of night and day.  Every hour on the hour.  Leaves no message.

I get called daily from whom ever this is. I wish it would stop!

I received a call, but answered because I am tired of it every night and they hung up immediately.  You could just start asking a lot of crazy questions and they'll hang up.

Just ask them what they are wearing and tell them its sexy.  Then ask if they are into watersports.  Most telemarketers hang up after that.

I called the number and left a message to take me off their list.  It didn't work.  Now they call 3-4 times a day!

just called here and when I see 800 or 877 let it go to vm which they never leave a message. Thanks to this site and a previous post, I have registered on their internal dnc list

a new way to sway unsuspecting folks, got  a call from 877-674-4280 a woman ask to speak to Mr. ---- mispronounced the name! I ask what is this about, are you Mrs. ---- I am, I'm calling to thank him for his gift you will be receiving a thank you in the mail, we are so thankful for his gift, would you like to know what we do? I said no, I learned a long time ago never say yes on the phone to total strangers especially when you do not know what you are truely saying yes to. They are full of it, we do not send money to any organizations we do not know, there are a lot of people in our church who need assistance and that is where our help goes.

Woman asked for my husband .... call repeatedly asked them not to call again. She says have a good day ,maam and hangs up.

I just tried to leave an e-mail with those dullars at MDS Communications demanding them to remove my telephone number from their caller list. Unfortunately my e-mail to them came back as undeliverable. Lovely huh? Their inactive e-mail address is: recptionist@mdscom.com. If they call back again I'm gonna let the ass**** telemarketer have it with both barrels! My mouth will be blazing!

Saw the missed number on my phone twice this past week with no message left on voicemail.

Stop calling me.
Pain in the butt.
They don't even answer.

Thanks SO MUCH for your info!  I added my # to their Do Not Call list.

Get a call blocker from Digitone Communications (they're on-line) in Las Vegas.  It will block up to 80 calls.  Your phone will not ring to a blocked call.  It costs $100 but is worth the price.

I hope this works, I just usually hang up or don't answer I am going to start wasting their time.
