Got the call. Got the recorded message. Pressed 1. A person answered. I asked for a manager. Someone came on the line. I said don't call me again. It got complicated. I yelled at her and hung up. It was some "marketing" company telling me I had won a trip to Cancun. Whoopee ding.

never, ever, ever press 1 when you get these calls some systems are set up so that when the receiving person presses 1 they are authorizing long distance billing from one number to the number where the person pressed one

if you pressed one expect a nice big fat phone bill soon

The number 877-675-1964 cannot be dialed.
They have called my Roger's cell and Bell landline.
It appears to be a random call.
I suspect that this is a Mexican based caller who uses
the Do Not Call List as a sales list.

Each time they have called numbers I've put on do not call list
while other numbers not on that do not call list have not received any calls.

If you get these arsholes on the phone, get their real telephone number where they can be dialed back.

I recall that this "Cancun Vacation aka time share sales" originated from a VOIP phone line from a company in California that could not be contacted.

Get as much information as you can and post it, please.

They left a message asking me to press 1 to claim my vacation which I have won being the first 100 luckiest person in the world.
Just delete the message.
It could be a scam.

Not sure how they've managed it, but now they're calling restricted numbers (ie mine).

Asked them to tell me how they got my info, but they wouldn't give it (wonder why...). Asked them to send me an email with their contact info: I guess they figured the jig was up when I told them my email: c.spam@

Ok so this company called earlier today spoofing a different phone number. They use an auto-dialer and pre-recorded messaged. This company is based out of Cancun, Mexico under the business name of PREMIER CANCUN VACATIONS. If you wish to give them a piece of your mind their phone number is: 1-800-757-4709 and their website is: http://premiercancunvacations.com/.

I've reported this company to Governing body of the "Do not call list" but have not seen any resolution as of yet.

Everyone, rip 'em a new one... It's a call center... make a complaint (insist on speaking to someone in-charge - do not take no for an answer). When you get someone on the start asking questions about the client that hired the call center and say that you want to speak with the client directly. The call center won't give you the clients direct number but with enough compliants they'll change their approach or drop the client.

Got that call from 1-877-675-1964. A voice message from Michael Foster says I won a trip to Cancun! Great! So I waited to see how many times they would repeat "Press 1 now" and hung up.

This is my office number and we cannot list them with the national do-not call list as it's limited to residential lines and fax lines. I did it anyways.

We got a call on one of our phones at work today. Since it's a new office, one of my co-workers answered it and told me about it. He thought that maybe it was for one of our new admins who just started with us. The jist of it was they were looking for a Jen to remind her that she had a Dr's appointment with Dr. McIntosh on Thursday at 10:15. I double checked with the girls to see if it was for them but maybe he had heard the name wrong but to no avail.

Anyway, I tried calling it back to tell them they had the wrong number and it just went to fuzz and now I'm here. That's an odd telemarketing or telescamming - what do they get out of telling people they have a Dr's appointment? My only guess is that they were checking to see if it was an existant number to include on their calling lists. Which I truley hope is not the case.

I got the call as well.. What most of us don't realize is that we did it to ourselves. Those contests people enter at trade shows and events for the free vacations are how they get your phone numbers. Next time you go and are tempted to enter the contest for the trip, look at the back of the entry ballot. You will see that it is being run by Premiere Vacations or something like it. It is a scam, but they pay to be at those shows and to the organizers, it's money for a booth. If you really want to make a difference, next time you are at the trade show and confirm the booth is a sham, try to talk to the Event Management company and let them know. In the long run, the bigger impact to their bottom line is if people stop showing up for $10 a head - not the $1500 or so for the booth.
