received a call during the day, did not answer and did not leave a message

i bought new laptop toshiba satellitel855-S5210 a windows 7 home premium os , but i lost my backup cd...i have my product key pasted at my laptop...i want to re install the windows 7...what will i do i dont have the cd now?

note:-warranty(i take my laptop in USA) also have more then 3.5 months

I didn't get a call from this number, but a charge  of nearly $30 showed up on my credit card statement stating it was from Microsoftstore and this phone number.  The bank caught it, but check your statement daily to protect you from these crooks.

Who are those people from this number?

I wish  that I would of understood what sharing and all was when this first started. I don't  care which one is going to be top dog. It's a scam,  they claim they work for Microsoft and your computer is being hacked they want you to go to the Run box and type in eventvwr that will let them gain access to your computer and they will steal your files Google it beware!!!!

I get called every day from this number.  When I called back to request Do Not Call, the message says from Microsoft store.and gives me 3 choices for Tech Support, sales, and billing.

Some [***] pretending to know me and my computer. A scam for sure.

Received a call from this number and they want to call me back to get the virus off of my computer.  They say they are from Microsoft Networking in New York and they are from the Technical support.  The number is 1877-696-7786.  This is a scam.

Thanks for confirming my fears! I’ve blocked this 877 number and two other “MS”.

I called back this number to see who had called, and the phone system these people use is pretty business-like sounding -and has the usual prompts, but make NO mistake; they are not Microsoft! Even my caller ID shows "MICROSOFTSTORE".

I truly wish the actual Microsoft would get around to them and shut them down. Most scammers, when you call them back, the number is invalid so you know they aren't legit. But these scammers can fool many, especially if you let your guards down and don't realize that you're not actually speaking with an entity legitimately associated with Microsoft.

Have received several calls from these scammers.  I have answered several with a very UNCOMPLIMENTARY ANSWER.  They are very PERSISTANT SO AM I!!!!!!!!
