- SusanI received a call from 877 753-9167 and was told I had a virus on my computer that they wanted to do a service call to get rid of the virus ( anyway I think that is what they were saying. Very difficult to understand them) Said they were the with Window. Is it safe?

- GlarJust got another phone call from some foreigner saying he was calling about my computer and all the errors I was generating and that he wanted to help me. I kept asking him to say again because I couldn't understand. Then asked him who he was with, again asked him to repeat. I asked why he was calling and he said again he was seeing errors from my computer. The scary thing was that he knew my name.
I ask if I could call him back and he gave me a telephone number to reach him. I ask where he was located and he said some town in Texas. I ask him to repeat again and he was beginning to get aggravated.
I ask why he was calling me and he said again he was seeing errors on my computer. I then said, "that's strange, because I don't have a computer."
Then he got mad and started asking why I ask for his phone number and why I didn't tell him at first that I didn't have a computer.
I told him I was just trying to waste as much of his time as I could and keep him on the phone.
He started cussing me out and calling me names and I said, "Could you repeat that, I couldn't understand you."
Then he hung up.
Here's the number he gave me: 1-877-753-9168- Caller: windows maintenace (he said)

- Fred R.Same thing here. I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying I had a ton of viruses and that he represented Microsoft. The caller ID said "Out of Area 3101". He tried to get me to run a program but before I did I asked if I could have a call back number . He gave me 1-877-753-9167. When I called the number and asked for William, as instructed, they hung up. I then googled the number and knew that it was a scam. I called back again and told them I knew it was a scam and to never call me again.

- ConcernedWe received a cold call from this number saying that they were calling from Business Technology Solutions and they could help us with our computer. This was unsolicited help. We could hear people in the background asking for computer ID numbers. They gave us a fictional address in Sugar Land Texas.
The accents were foreign and the caller was rude to us. They are fishing for sensitive information from unsuspecting people and we are very concerned. - Camille replies to Craaig -I got the call. He told me the same bull. I acted worried that my computer had been hacked. I asked over and over if he was sure my computer was the one involved. He said yes! He could see all the corruption. I said I could not understand but to hold on and I'd get my computer turned on. I kept saying I was shocked he could see it and it was not on. After about 30 minutes, I told him I was sorry, I could not find a power cord. He said to look more and he'd hold on! Then I told him I do not have an Internet connection and he cursed at me saying I wasted his time.
- JeriI haven't had a call from this guy in quite some time-- maybe over a year, but here we go again. I can never understand the name of the company he says he's representing. I'm sure it's a warehouse full of different people, but today I spoke with Sebastian. His accent wasn't quite as thick as the previous callers. Of course, I never give them any of my info and even argue with them when they tell me my PC has gotten a virus thru Windows. They never believe me when I tell them I own a MacBook and I'm running OS X Yosemite. I'm not THAT computer savvy, but I don't think my "windows" can download when that's not what I have. Shrug. Keep on hanging up :)

- LauraReceived call from James a Microsoft Operating Systems Technician. Said the company he worked for was Tech Plaza in Sugarland Texas. Gave me the ol' scammers and thieves comment about how there was a problem with my computer. When I started laughing the conversation went down hill and he turned into a foul mouthed creep.
- Caller: Tech Plaza Sugarland Texas

- LauraReceived call from John who said he was a Windows IT expert. Asked for his business address he gave South Glenn Av Los Angeles CA. Asked for phone number and started laughing after he said he didn't know it. That laughing led to some rude language and threats against family members. It sounded like the same mush mouthed creep from earlier call.
- JanetI got a call from a blocked number. the number 3010 showed up on the caller Id. It was a terrible connection but I could make out an Indian accent and the fact that it was a tech support call. I managed to understand that I had downloaded software that was infected. Between the strange number, bad connection and accent I immediately assumed it was a scam. I figured this guy was trying to gain access to my computer. The person had my name and phone number and I asked where he got it and was told he got it from Windows; more red flags. It would have been Microsoft not windows and Microsoft would not have a tech contact a customer. I told them the connection was bad and asked for a number to call them back. He gave me 877-753-9167 which lead me to this site, which confirmed that this is a scam.
- Laurareceived another Microsoft windows tech call that showed up as out of area and no number on cnum and cnam. This time it was Shawn who's English skills were questionable, did say he was Indian studying in Salt Lake City Utah. Couldn't under stand the name of company but he gave a call back number of 800 705 9179 that directs to another company. Said my CLSID of 888 DCA 60 was giving errors I asked for full number and it showed up under this thread https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-315-636-4810 when I started reading number back he hung up. Didn't do any threatening talk or cursing this time.
- SandieJust received a call from male who said he was from Tech Plaza and that my computer was being hacked. He wanted me to turn it on so he could help with this imminent problem. Heavy foreign accent and it was like pulling teeth to get information out of him and even harder to understand what he was saying. He said his name was Max and he was calling from Texas. I asked to speak to his supervisor who identified himself as Matthew, also from Texas. He gave same song and dance, told him I do not conduct business over the phone with someone I don't know and can hardly understand and certainly would not be turning on my computer. He asked why I just don't hang up if I'm not interested. My response - you called me so I thought you wanted to chat. Unfortunately he did not like "the content of my chat". End of conversation!
- Caller: Tech Plaza
- BarbsOn July 21, I received a call which showed caller unknown on the caller ID. Normally I wouldn't answer these type of calls because it's generally a telemarketer, but since I had been experiencing telephone issues that day, I picked up the phone. this guy with a foreign accent proceeded to tell me he was a windows technician, and was calling because my windows system was generating errors, and he needed me to turn on my computer so he could fix the problem. Now, I do know that it is highly unlikely that a technician would call me, so of course I was suspicious. I asked for his location, name, telephone #, and of course he was very evasive, persisting that I turn on my computer. I was finally able to get him to say he was calling from Tech Plaza, in Sugarland Texas, and tel# 1-877-753-9167. Needless to say he was not happy with my response to his call. I decided later to google the telephone #, and my suspicions were confirmed.

- JudyCall came as Out of Area and the lady caller had a foreign accent. She said a virus was taking over my computer through my Windows program and this is why I was having internet problems. I had called Comcast about an hour ago due to a 'no server found" problem. She wanted me to take 20-30 min. to let them fix my problem at no cost (info.given when I asked questions). All I had to do was sit in front of my computer and they would guide me through the steps. She said she could provide me with my IP# to show this call was legitimate. I was suspicious of a scam so I told her I did not have time for this now and I would take her number, than I would decide what I wanted to do.
- Caller: Microsoft Windows supposedly
- Salreceived call that showed unavailable but said he was John a Microsoft windows technician and how he wanted to help me fix the viruses showing up on my computer. Asked what company he said Tech Plaza asked what city he said Sugarland Texas. Mentioned that he was a thieving jerk and he started his profanities. Guess those garbage piles are getting big along Ganges with to much inbreeding between rats, the untouchables! Telescammers preying on the uninformed.
