Report a phone call from 877-753-9167 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- DavidThis person has called my mother on several occasions and she would tell them something and she became angry. However, they have just called again and I took the phone and that it was hacked. I asked her for her name and she stated that it was Kevin. I thought, that was a strange name for a female. I asked her for the name of the company and she stated that it was Tex Plaza and they were located in Texas and I asked her for her number and she gave me 877-753-9167. After trying to get in my head as to the purpose of the call. She continued to tell me that her computer was sending her company information and that someone was hacking her computer. I asked her to give me the IP address of the computer and she would not give that information back to me. I asked for her supervisor and so I waited for a bit and someone else came to the phone. I asked him what was the name of the company and he stated the same and then I asked where were they located and he stated that he was in San Jose, California. I told him that the other person stated that they were in Texas and he stated that the main company was located in Sugar Land, Texas. After this I told him that he had better not call back this number and that I was going to report them to the police. I called the number back that he gave and no one would answer the call.

I have my home phone, internet, and TV thru Comcast. This afternoon Comcast had an outage, causing cessation of all 3 services. I received a call on my cell phone from man with East Indian accent, telling me my computer was infected with "a Malware Virus" and he would help me resolve it. He asked me to sit at my computer and follow his instructions. I told him I didn't know him and asked his name and who he worked for. He said, "Jordan Spencer and I work for Tech Plaza, a company that handles problems with Windows systems". He tried to convince me it was OK to press the keys he was suggesting. I got his phone # and told him I'd get my son's advice first and call him back, but I definitely wasn't going to press any computer buttons! My son "Googled" the phone # (877-753-9167) and reached this site. Thanks for posting information, helping protect people from scam artists like this!!!- Caller: "Tech Plaza" handles "problems with Windows systems"

- PaulReceived a call from an Indian/Pakistani accented woman named "Catherine Parker". She declared she was with a Microsoft Windows
sponsored company and was advising me that my computer was sending multiple error messages. She directed me to go to my computer
to turn it on and she would guide me to a repair. Pretty gutsy gal. I have been phished by these crooks before so I knew what to do and
what she was wanting. I asked her for her name and number and told her I would call her later, hope she is holding her breath. :)
What gets me is the fact that she knew my name, used a number of: 913-3010 to get into my cell phone and begin her chat. Ugh, I would
like to reach through the phone and choke the Xitch!- Caller: Microsoft Support
- ShirleySame as Paul above! Kathleen or Kathryn Parker - got her # so I could call later - yeah right -
She got me on my cell phone - how the heck do we STOP these calls? Getting them on house and now cell phones - irritating!!!!!- Caller: Microsoft? Who knows?

- sadhyaYup, a very persistent scammer. I actually got the call from 3010 on my cell phone. asked him if he was calling about my computer, what was its ID? He said I have the IP address and the CMD code, and this is important. You have downloaded a virus and it is sending error reports to Windows. Did you get a message saying "do you want to report this..." They have obviously improved their scam game. I told him that I would check him out and if he was telling the truth, i would contact him via his website. Yes, he said, his website is www.teksquad.com , but I should contact him back via the 877 753 9167 number. That is why I looked it up. I did waste his time a little bit, but am a bit sheepish to say that no firecrackers or requests to talk with police were involved (see earlier post and be prepared to laugh).
