Calls never stop even after to tell them to remove you from list.

This number calls at least 5 times a day. Now they are calling my cell phone .  Both numbers on do not call list. When they first  started calling they ask for my husband who is deceased . Now they ask for the head of the house!!!  They don,t stop even after being told to take the number off the list. Who are these people?

This number calls at least 3 times/week. I keep tying to answer but as soon as I answer the call I get a dial tone. I can only assume the party on the other end of the line is "Polling". This is where people call numbers to see if someone answers. If they do, then they know it is a legitimate working number. The caller would then be able to give or sell your number to others.

IF my suspicion is correct, I wonder why they keep calling me over and over again. Since I can't talk to them, I have no way of knowing who it is, and I can't even ask them to remove my number from their lilst!

It's Soverign Bank....supposedly. I'm closing my account tomorrow.

They called for my husband, I asked who was calling they said Sovereign Bank and when I offered to take a message because this is my cell they hung up and have been ever since when I answer the phone?/?Today they called and when I answered they sat listening to the background noise not hanging up for a few minutes. I finally hung up because it's obvious I less time to waste than the person calling.

Got a call from 877-768-2265. It looks like a service call from Sovereign Bank. Last time I answered this call they wanted me to switch my ATM card to a Debit Card

They call 2-3 times a day.  I'm on the do not call list.  You answer, they hang up or in the case of the last call, sounded like the person was chewing food and then hung up.    No one ever talks on these calls, they just hang up.

I don't get how they get away these incessant calls!!

Just got a call from them. Said they were CIG & callg for Sovereign Bank. Wantd to set up online bankg (for my 93 yr old mother, no less!) I told them I was she. I also told them I wantd to see the acct on line. She said she could do it for me & wanted the 4 last numbers of the social. No way! I told them I just spoke to the bank yest abt online /having trouble. They told me to come in to my office & an officer would set it u for me. Told her to take number off her list.

They call me over and over. Soverign Bank- said they had  a great package for me to discuss told them to take me off list- called next day.

Why isn't the FTC doing something about all these annoying calls.
It is ridiculous for people to be paying for a phone and not even able to answer any calls due to the abusive and invasive practices of telemarketers, charities and others.
I don't even care anymore if it is a charity.  I give to charities of my choice and don't need to have any of them call me.
Anyone who uses this strategy will not get my business.
I can no longer answer my phone.  The DO NOT CALL list is a waste and from what I read on the internet, which I believe, as soon as you make a complaint or report a number, you are moved to the top of the list and the calls increase.  Do not use the DO NOT CALL list.  Instead call the FTC and speak to a live person.  Get a complaint # and bug the living daylights out of them until something is done to prosecute these idiots.

Received a call from this number today, showed number unavailable.  This is odd for a bank.  I called the number and it did in fact go to Soverign Bank.  I have no accounts with this bank.  The representative I spoke to had advised me that a lot of people are calling them about receiving the same calls and I was told that they are not making these calls.  So I am guessing that it's spoofing by another company who is trying  to find ligimate phone numbers. Soverign also told me that their number would not come up as unavailable.  So don't answer the phone if you see this number as this bank claims they only call current customers with promotions.

I have gotten 3 calls from Soverign Bank within the last week. One was to take a customer satisfaction survey, one was offer  a personal financial advisor, and the last one was to try to get me to enroll in overdraft protection. Enough with the phonecalls!! If I wanted to use a service offered by the bank I would contact them about it. They are awful and the representatives are so pushy.

Just called me on cell.  it was trd for sovereign bank.  i told him he was being very anti semetic and i was going to report this hate crime to the police then he said "what"?  then i accused him of calling me a [***] and he started getting very upset. He actually hung up.  see if he ever calls me again.  p.s.  im not Jewish.  lol

I receive a call from this number several times a day, every day of the week. They never leave a message on our answering machine if it is important. I guess it isn't. Just a harassment call. I wish they'd stop calling.

The DNC list do not apply - the "list" is for telemarketers or solicitors - people seem to think the DNC list applies to everything - it does not apply to collection agencies cuz u owe a debt, does not apply to banks cuz u gave them ur number and when u open an account u sign a paper that states they can call to make u aware of new product or info - any business that is not selling or soliciting anything have a right to call consumers - you dnt like the call just say "do not call this number" which again do not work for collection agencies cuz they will stop calling but then sue u.
