Here is what is happening:
Sprint re-issues the old phone numbers to new clients.  The Collection Agencies do not know that it has been re-assigned.  As a result, they call you thinking your are the one who owe them money because of the phone number.  So, answer the phone, and let them know that you are not the one owing money.  Give them warning, and get the name of the person you talked to, time, and contents of conversation.  Then you can sue them.

You've started calling for the money owed on a number of credit cards. Thanks to this wonderful economy, I'm struggling to keep food on the table. Needless to say, I cannot pay you guys a penny. But it has to be said anyway. Oh well, I tried working with my credit card peeps but all they did was jack my rates to the point I could no longer make the minimums.

So now it's survival mode until I get enough cash to file for bankruptsy. At least then the calls will stop. That is unless they turn off the phone first!

They started calling 3 days ago and have done so on a pretty regular basis since. A few times, they asked me to enter a card number and i was like hell no.. Other times they don't talk. And just now I answered and they waited and then said "Uh is Gina there?" and I was like no and then he said oh sorry. Like what's the point even. ugh.
don't answer from now on, and get the number blocked if you want.

What is interesting the caller doesn't leave a message but can hear a clicking sound, like they are ready to record whoever picks up the receiver.  Dumb as this maybe, no one can check-up on them.  Lot of wasted time and space and either side is really communicating.

G.M. CREDIT CARD- They call my cell phone at least 4 times daily. Never leaves a message. Very demanding..

Here is a tip.   If you dont answer and they dont leave a message they can keep calling you back.....They are only allowed to make contact 1 time a day so the best thing is to answer.  If you dont they will keep calling and it is not illegal,  however once you talk to them and they call you back beyond that one time, now they have violated the law.  Answer, talk to them, dont commit to anything and then terminate the call.  If you are behind on a bill they will call. They are not a collection agency they are the bank   I used to work for them.  a computer dials the phone and the only way to get your number out of the dialer is for them to make contact

When you see their telephone number:  877 801 2498  or  800-446-1022 on your caller ID make sure you  ANSWER as  NASTY as you possibly can  with  Sex Comments   etc etc etc etc etc  Sex Comments  etc etc etc. They should answer you Real Quick (they seem to have major sex problems relating to Can Not climax problems), you have the choice to stop talking and  listen to them beg you to talk or you can get some real good person to person comedy job practice.

The problem with these low life credit company is that they have computers calling for them. So it's just a matter of inputting our number into the software and let the computer do the rest. That's why we're getting harrassed every minute of every day cause it's all automated. What makes this worst is that these systems are set up to hang up and call again if it gets a voicemail message. Hence everytime they call and you pick up, the computer put you on hold until the next available rep picks up. Who in the hell are they to call us to put us on hold?! Even when I call someone and get put on hold for any amount of time, it annoys the &*#$&* out of me! What makes you think I will hold for you? Have the decency to have an actual rep call and leave a freaking message. Maybe then I'll call you back! How are you going to get what you need from us by annoying us? I think their pea brains think, if we bully them enough, they'll give in. What a bunch of low life loser.
