This is not the NRA as they claim! it is a harassing caller and they also use 888-483-8328     The recorded message is identical for both 800 numbers.

Yor right - this is not the NRA even if you get a recorded message which claims to be the NRA, and they use several 800, 888, and 877 area code numbers.  They usually hanf up as soon as you answer and if you call them back you get a recorded message claiming to be the NRA which they are not.   Maybe it is an anti-gun group trying to annoy people and make them think it is the NRA calling which it is not.

I do not answer 800 numbers. If they want me let them leave a message. If you don't have a caller ID get one. It sure helps.

I have also received calls from all of these numbers plus even more so I called the FCC and complained. Some of the numbers are ID soofing, some are scams some are from NRA, some from telemarketers. I am so sick of this as Ihave a disabled husband and that is why I called the FCC. they say they are trying to pass a bill to eliinate all this.  then they called my fax line and jammed that up until I rebooted the system. Some of these people should go to jail pronto. And yes I am an NRA member too but they used to at least leave a message. Now I spent money to buy a Caller ID box and I do not answer the phone anymore unless I know the caller. Some people should get a life instead of bothering others.

I made a few typo errors so excuse them. Like eliminate, ID Spoofing, but hope you got the point folks.

Called today,did not pickup.  Another reason to move your support to the real defenders of the second amendment, the Gun Owners of America.

The NRA, like everyone else, uses fund raising companies to make calls and raise money for them and these companies probably use the same number to call and raise money for different non profits.  I am sure they have 100s of people making these calls and some are polite and some are jerks.  You can get a distinct ring on your telephone for your family and friends.  It is a different number the family and friends call so you don't have to answer any calls that you don't want to.

When they say "Hello. May I speak to Marty" I say "No" and hang up the phone. If I knew ahead of time it was the NRA I would probably talk to them as I am a member,

Answered the call. As soon as she said she was "Theresa with the NRA" I asked to be removed from the list. She said that she had to verify my phone number, and then hung up.

I've been getting calls/not answering this number for months. Hope this solves it.

I couldn't care less who it is,but I would would like to say,you don't make friends by agravation.But it seems everyone has to learn that the hard way.

THIS ABSOLUTELY IS THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION (NRA).  I might have actually talked to them if they would not be so deceiving, would actually leave a message on my answering, etc.  It's BS the way they are handling these calls to us.  I am not a member of the NRA, however,  a lot of people receiving these calls are.   BELOW, I HAVE LISTED OTHER NUMBERS THAT THE NRA IS USING.
TO BE REMOVED:  Call the number,  Press 1 and Listen to message, Press 1 again and listen to THAT message, press 3, enter your number to be removed, listen to confirm. Hang up and hope you never hear from the pric*s again.  I've nothing against the NRA... until now!  I personally called all the NRA numbers BELOW.  I'll check back into this post in a couple of weeks and let you know if the calls have stopped.  If not, I intend to have my mother and father (lifetime member's of the NRA) both call. Being a past world record holding target-shooter, gun smith, and author of many articles for the NRA and various other related magazines, I may have my father call his NRA buddies personally.  If the calls have not stopped, I intend to post, for your pleasure their numbers and personal extensions.
