Advanced Capital Solutions - Debt Collection Agency

i got a call from these people(advanced capitol solutions) about a old debt of mine they purchased.  having trouble verifying them and there number.  anyone know if they are for real or crooks?

I had a voice message from them but they got my first name right but last name wrong. It was so garbled that I could not really totally understand it but sounded like the last name of a person I had spoken with the NIGHT BEFORE. How did they get MY number?

You are right Frank saying they are a “legit company” that has filed with the State of Ohio but in no way does that mean they are running a legitimate business. By the way here is the link for the SOS information:

In another thread we have seen Austin Evans write " I got arrested 3 weeks later " and " You can look up my case number if you like " but it seems very odd that he/she did not provide any information about their case to prove that this company is " no joke ". We have also seen frank ventresca writing " they proved the case and i spent 1.5 years in prison " and again not providing any information to prove this. It would seem that if a person wants to help warn others to help them prevent a pretty serious situation they would be providing that proof.

I was a debt collector for years and even ran my own agency and find it absolutely deplorable the tactics that some collectors will use to get someone to pay a bill. At no point am I saying anyone should not pay a debt they owe but it is not okay to threaten that person with actions that cannot be taken by law.  

My wife has now received a call from Advanced Capital Solutions saying that she owes for some payday loan from 2007 however my wife has not taken out this so called loan and she informed them of this. The agent proceeded to say that maybe a roommate or relative used their information but they are still responsible for the debt but if she pays the debt they will help her take the case to court in order to sue whomever it was that open the account.

I handled the fraud cases for the collections I did and at no time we would say a debtor would have to pay first then file a fraud case. I would tell them they would still be held responsible for the account if they have NOT filed a fraud case. It is a shame that friends and family would use your information but it does happen and if that debtor is not willing to file a fraud report against the ones they love (which I know I would have a problem doing that myself) they would unfortunately still be liable for that debt.

I did have the chance to talk to the agent myself and informed them that I am formally requesting that they provide us with the loan documents and/or proof of the debt per the FDCPA regulations and immediately they said other agencies have provided that information and that my wife will find out about what proof they have when she is served with a subpoena as they have already filed with the courts. I then requested which court they filed with or the file number or even the attorney’s office that will be handling the case. They refused to provide this information and disconnected  the call.

This agency is breaking so many regulations I will be very surprised if they are able to keep the doors open.

this is a scam the company claims I owed a debt to some payday loan company called Loan Point USA. When I advised that I have filed Bankruptcy and all my original creditors were notified then she started going on about all the things I need to do. When told to contact my attorney she refused to.

Someone from this number call me and left a threaten and voilent message. I tried to return the call but the message indicated that the number was out of services.

these people keep calling all my family members they are even contacting my ex sister in law about me I have notified my lawyer he going to look into because I have not did any payday loans they are not legal in the state of N.C

Complete and total scam - they don't even have my name right! They think I'm a woman - trust me, I've never been a woman in my life and I think I'd now.

They claim to be coming from a legitimate business but they themselves are scam artists.

Total scam...received this today from an attorney:

Dear Mr. XXXXX,
I hope this email finds you well.  I am in receipt of the evaluation you submitted on Dave Ramsey's www.collectionbully.com.  This "company" that is harassing you is a scam operation.  Unfortunately, since they don't appear to be a legitimate collection agency, there isn't much our office can do in terms of bringing a harassment claim against these scam operations because they are notoriously difficult to locate.  I would suggest you report this scam operation at www.econsumer.gov, www.ic3.gov, and with your local FBI.

Calling for someone that does not live in this residence and we are on a do not call registry...so why be on it....told them several times no one by that name lives here but they still call.....

Repeated messages to our home phone asking for our son who moved away from here in 2000.

Keep getting calls but won't state for what. I need to contact them on a matter of great urgency cause I may or may not need to sign some documents. And a decision will be made by end of day. Funny how this same message has been going on for months. But won't say for what and needs information. Kept telling um call this attorney s office but they wont or haven't.  Getting old. Blocked all the numbers they used, phone won't ring but voice message still gets threw. Kept asking for them to stop calling last year, at least 7 times. Vengeance is going to be mines now. Sick of these donkeys already, another law suite is at hand.

I received a call from a Tonia Johnson stating that she represented a company called Advanced Capitol Solutions and she was calling to collect a debt.

Received yet another call from this numer claiming they are advance capital solutions.   They say they were advised from Cash Net USA that I owe @$260  from a loan from  2006,   I paid Cashnet  
This is a huge scam   I am unable to get rid of this company  What should I do

Getting non-stop harrassing calls from this # also. The next time that I can answer when they call (they usually call while I'm at work and only sometimes leave messages), I am going to talk to them and ask them to stop harrassing me. If they do not cease, I will file charges.
