Your conclusion seems to be correct.  Sears drove me crazy a few weeks ago with an automated reminder for a deliver of an appliance I bought from them  Their call showed as BLOCKED NUMBER UNKNOWN.  Their computer generated automoton also promised that they would be calling again so that I could participate in a survey.  I emailed their customer service department and asked them if they didn't think it was appropriate that customers would stay away from their stores in droves if they thought it was such a good idea to [***] their customers with these unsolicited telephone calls?  No response.  Just more of these stupid 1-877 numbered calls.  Screw off Sears.  Close all your stores and see how that works for you.

I got several calls from this number almost everyday in the past three weeks. It is Sears, I called back and asked them to remove my number from their list. they asked all your information again. It is very very annoying!

Everyday 3 or  more calls anytime , 3am, noon, etc..ENOUGH ALREADY, STOP!

I am reporting this to the CRTC.

It is Sears protection plan, automated service. Computer generated at certain times of the day! It is extremely annoying and I am getting tired of their calls at my workplace. I called the number and requested the gentleman update his information in his computer that the person he is trying to call, no longer owns this phone number! He apologized.

3 calls from this number in 2 days, no message left. I don't answer unknown callers. Very annoying!  So much for the Do Not Call List.

They are Sears Protection Plan calling you to extend the warranty on your recently purchased appliance.

Recently I purchased a new dishwasher from Sears. I have received over a dozen calls from these bozos. I've blocked the number so I get just one ring.

These people have no sense at all. Another reason to not shop at Sears.

Sorry, but doubt this number is really Sears. I have never bought from Sears, not a single warrantied item, and this 887-889-2024 number has been calling several times a day for weeks. Last time I picked-up one of those unidentified 888 numbers and waited long enough for a voice to answer, the person with an Indian accent said he was calling from Microsoft to warn me that my computer was about to crash as I supposedly had downloaded a large bugged file. I took his name and said I would call back. I then called my web provider and Microsoft and both confirmed it was a scam, trying to have me give them access to my computer. Now I just never answer these calls. Whatever the reason for them to want info on your appliances - pirating your computer or getting your credit card number - I never trust these numbers.

It call couple of time, when I call back , i found that it is sears protection marketing.!!!

Purchased a dishwasher from Sears (that story alone would make you shake your head) and now I'm getting their annoying telemarketing phone calls. I hear Sears is going out of business. No wonder!

this number calls to say they're  jared capitals looking to talk about an important matter and when they ask for personal information I wouldn't give them any plus wanted to record the conversation after I had said no I don't want to record any conversation and I do not authorize them to do this ,they still wouldn't listen the lady became aggressive and started angry talk and some threating saying they're going to do court legal action I said I do not want you to call me on this phone gain as well as contact me anymore and once again I do not want to be recorded but she would not listen, I said do not contact me again on my number again and do not call me again please which led to her trying to engage in an unlawful matter and I said I will end up taking them to court as a canadian citzen we have a bill of rights that protects us from people or a company  who dis obey when a person  tells them  directly not to record or contact them again and have a good day and I hung up, which then I blocked the number and they continued to call from another 877 number

Sears calling to follow up / sell additional services

It is Sears calling to get supplemental insurance on a Sears product they have also mailed me a couple of times to take supplemental insurance on the product. Here are 2 steps I took:
1. Since Sears Canada has had huge losses and financial difficulty I simply decided to help them
   into bankruptcy by no longer shopping there
2. Most phones (cordless or smart type) have a block call feature, simply enter 1-877-8892024
   and that number is blocked

Called for 3rd time in 4 days….if this is a Sears  Extended warranty call they must have little faith in the pair of shorts sold me which is the only item i have bought from Sears in 2 years. Think I'll risk it Sears…if the elastic "blows" I'll take a chance at Wally-Mart.
