They've called here 3 times this morning inside of 1.5 hours. I picked up the third time and said hello, waited a couple seconds and got a hello back, the person speaking was definitely of South-Asian decent, perhaps Indian. I then proceeded to hang up in their face.

Received a call a few times from this number

This number is a Sears Canada number. They are wondering if you want to extend the warranty of a product you bought that has its original warranty running out. They will continue to call until you answer them, ,or you call sears canada and tell them to stop. I wrote them an email, because their phones were putting me in a queue to wait. home@sears.ca
The reason there is dead air, is that there is a computer that is calling a few numbers for the telemarketer and whoever answers first gets the telemarketer, but it takes a few seconds for him to get that you've answered. The one time I did answer, the person on the other end seemed to be having trouble figuring out what they were doing, and then abruptly put me on hold, so I hung up.

this number calls me everyday between 8-9pm on my cell phone in the past two weeks but its dead air on the other end everytime. i even waited 10 seconds but still nothing. i did buy a washing machine from sears this summer.

I've been getting 5-7 calls a day from for the last three or more weeks.  Some of the calls have been as alate as 8:30 at night. 877-889-2024 shows up. I answered it a couple of times and heard a partial message about warranties.  After the foruth time today, I answered the phone and a women with a very heavy accent massacred my last name.  I asked her to stop phoning and hung up.  I wonder how long that will last?

I forgot to mention that they called me three times in less than anhour!

I answered a call from 1 877-889-2024. It was Sears Canada in regards to the warranty for my TV.

SEARS wanted to sell extended service contract ..Told them I couldn't get it repaired under warranty..extended warranty is just throwing good money after bad.Moral of story...NEVER BUY FROM SEARS AGAIN.

Yes, it is good old Sears Canada selling more extended warranty. They hire some company from Quebec to make all the calls. The dead air is a, call placed first to find out when your home (when you answer it time stamps when your home) then when an operator is available to bug you about your dishwasher warranty they call and call... Thanks Sears!

Told this visable minority never to call again I would contact CRTC and lay charges of harrassement...12 times this week alone this is the first time someone answered.I will never buy from Sears again ,card will be distroyed.If a company like this has to stoop so low to build a service bussiness that they are not equipped to handle.They contract out to private service agents .Be carefull and watch close as they repair , this one I had tried to put in a used part.

they called me last night and this afternoon and asked for me but ihung up so i wouldn;t get roaming charges or something stupid.

The caller is a nuisance and calls twice a day - A.M. and P.M.
I don't answer but the idiot persists - obviously a sales pitch or a scam!

They just called me ans stated it waqs sears...asked them what they wanted...they hung up on me!

Very persistent.  Called 3 times in 5 minutes.  I hung up the first 2 times they called, answered 3rd time.
I explained to the representative that I was not interested and wanted off their call list. She said that she could not remove me from the list.  Honestly, how is that there has been no law suits getting these [***] to leave regular people alone--especially during holidays.

Oh thank goodness I'm not the only one!  They've been calling me EVERYDAY so far!  Very disturbing i say.

I get the same call every day for the last couple of months. I have call display so I don't pickup. But in the beginning I recall I got dead air space. So no one knows why this number is calling everyone? Can we rule out is Sears extended warranty that is calling?  I get 1-000-000-0000 calls sometimes as well.

18778892024 has called me about 20 times over the holiday season all at or around the same time.  Read some websites, discovered that most say it was Sears Canada.  Well today there was a person on the line when I answered, and yes it is Sears canada.  I will never shop in that [***] phone invading store again for this grief!  not only that the rep on the phone tried to tell me I was full of it when I said how many times the robot called me.  Nice eh..

Gets call from this number on a daily basis every day at 8:35 pm.. when I pick up there is no answer... really annoying..

This is Sears Canada, Extended Warranty or Service Contract Department calling to either offer or renew a service contract on electric appliances or electronics you purchased from Sears.  To contact them directly call 1-800-361-6665.  They call many times on a daily basisuntil you finally speak with the caller.  Most of the time there is dead air when you answer.
