NOW IM REALLY GOING TO PRAY. I RECIEVED ONE OF THOSE SLIPS OF PAPER.I CAN IDENTIFY WITH MOST OF THE COMMENTS. THERE ARE SO MANY COPMANIES AFTER THE HOMEOWNERS WHO NEED LOAN MODIFICATIONS FOR UNUSUAL CIRCUMSTANCES. IF THE PERSON WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LEAVING THESE MESSAGES ARE NOT FROM INYMAC I HOPE THEY WOULD BE SENSITIVE TO THE STRUGGLING HOMEOWNER. IF THEY ARE LEGITIMATE THEY WOULD JUST SAY SO

Received a slip of paper with this # on it.  Is it legit?

I received the small paper. They want to know is somebody still living in the home. The goverment help the banks so the banks should help the people by reducing the principal and adjust the mortgage payment acording to the situation. People need a place to live so, instead on moving out the owners and pay the rent to other company, this money could go to the bank. Otherwise this situation is going worse and the economy is not going to improve.

got the same piece of paper today hanging from my doorknob, I think its a scam, indymac has seem to have lost my paperwork too, they can have my house, this time last year it was worth over 100,000.00, now its about 50,000.00, i was making payments, but with the foreclosure rate here in michigan, i think i will now put those payments away and wait for the year it takes them to get me out, then i will have enough saved to buy a much nicer house! THANKS indymac for your neglience, you just helped me move to a much better neighborhood!

I too, received this note..  the lady that answered said they were checking to make sure the house was owner occupied.  I  had submitted for a modification,4 times, and was denied 4 times.  No reason was given.I later found out, to IndyMac, modification meant re-finance, and regardless of circumstances, you needed to have the income to qualify.

I am on time with my mortage each and every month what do they want from me. They call all times of the day and never leave a message. What do they want

Indymac/onewest bank are good calling people up about late payment on there mortgage, but when you talking about loan modification or need help forget it, I mailed out 2 loan modification (HAMP) application with all the docs, they always say need a new paystub of course if your application are sitting for 2 weeks or more of course they will be outdated. I am tired of it dealing with them. one more thing there good at sending certified mail, if you dont answer your phone  2 times automatic you will receive certified mail. please let me know if you are getting same treatment with indymac/OWB

Its a scam and makes no sense. I got the same letter and we are and are always 3 months ahead on our payments.  It's a scam by some sub human piece of crap.
They are going to a federal penitentiary sooner than they think. One of them is obviously on this board trying to implant fear to make money.

Don't know if other posters have fannie maes or not but I got those papers too. Am working through the HUD consulor here and am hoping to get the program going soon. Under consideration for a unemployment forebarance program.  hope it works out and good luck to everyone.
