It's not a scam. These are people that are hired by different lenders to try to get you to pay some money on what you owe. If you pay ALWAYS!!! get something in writing from the lender that says you paid and a copy of whatever agreement you worked out with them or they can just deny ever getting anything from you and sell your house.
Also ask for ID if it's someone at your door!

Plus you need a third partys help (as i said about the hud guy) you can find a list on fannie maes website. F$#% Indy mac they don't own your loan ( if it's a fannie) and must play by the rules but you need help and the HUD approved person does that for FREE!!!

Dear Angie and people of the like You are part of the problem by simply stopping your payments and moving on to buying a different home when you can afford to stash your money while others can not.You may as well collect food stamps and welfare but probably dont qualify as you make too much money! yea enough to pay but you elect not to to take advantage of the wonderful government programs designed to help people that actually need help. Yea Im one of them,I worked my but off and have paid the 13 years i been her and it piss' me off that my value dropped 100,000 too, I lost my job and work  doing what ever I can to make my bills and still it's not enough! and yes I am educated and have put out one resume after another to no avail I still have not found a job. I hope you all get busted for doing what is technically illegal,shame on you all for bilking the programs!

People do not have a choice, they have tried and tried to negotiate with these crooked people.  

We have tried for two years to get a modification.  What we have figured out is you cannot modify a note or contract you don't have your name on.  So, Indy Mac Mortgage Service, One West and Fannie Mae cannot modify.  The best a  homeowner can do is ask them for the Original Note, and the Re conveyances or Warranty deeds.  Of course they do not have these.  So to get rid of them you must go to court or get them to negotiate with a new contract.  Be as ruthless with them as they have been with you.  Take your time, they have already ruined your credit.  Kick them off your land!!  

We got a note last night.  The next time they come to the door we will file trespass charges against the contractor.  Put a lien on your home.  That forces them to go to court without selling to someone else.

Very irritating to find these stupid notes on my front door. The notes are sloppy and torn from a larger piece of paper not very professional.  The notes always read: An independent field inspector called on you today. Please contact onewest bank at 877-908-4357. Isn't there a law against people like this???

Stop wasting my time, if you don't have a fix don't leave any more notes on my door. Their are too many scams out, have a day away from me.

I am divorced and my estranged husband had an option arms mortgage. In 3 yrs it went from 1,300.00 to 1,500.00. I modified and after a yr indy mac took only 100.00 off the mortgage. I lost my job and I recievve ssdi benefits. It has decreased in  the past 2 yrs. I remodified again and indy mac took off 9.00 off my mortgage how absurd.....
