I received a call from +8801750531943. Rang once and then hung up. Second time I just hung up instantly and haven't gotten a third call...

This morning I was called twice from the number 8801722985927, both were missed calls. They somehow rang right through even through my Silent mode, so I dont know what the flubber. Third time they called I made sure I was fast enough to ansver, and guess what, they hung up. Called one more time after this, and then the calls stopped. The funny part is that I'm from Finland, and just bought an UAE number for the vacation, and I've had this number for maybe what... 32 hours? I sincerely hope this will not continue once I change back to my EU SIM.....

Even I am getting unknown calls from Bangladesh. I have complained it to Vodafone but they don't have a solution to it!!

I got it too. Wat to do? Can we ask Telco to block it?

What are scams using missed calls and text messages from unknown numbers?

Missed call scams start by ringing your phone and hanging up so quickly that you can’t answer the call in time. Your phone registers a missed call and you probably won’t recognise the number. People will often then call the number back to find out who it is. Apart from being a nuisance, the missed call can lead to a scam in two ways:

The number you call back may be redirected to a premium rate service (a number that starts with 190) without your knowledge, which means you will be charged a lot of money per minute.
The number may tell you that you have won a prize of some sort and give you another number to call to ‘claim’ your prize, but they may not tell you how much the call will cost. This second number may be a premium rate number, again charging you a lot of money to get your ‘prize’. Your prize may be nothing more than a ring tone subscription—which can also be a scam!

I have the same problem this no.+8801715502369 is annoying me. Better look for your phone option in rejecting/blocking the no. Thats what I did.

I have been getting calls for weeks and the person waits till you speak then says oh it must be a wrong number. I followed up on the internet and tried to trace it, but wouldn't you know,  there is a site that will give you the information for those numbers if you just pay a dollar. I truly wonder if they are all working together to bother people and then they get a cut for those who follow through to solve there problem for a dollar. Just a theory, there are a lot of desperate people out on the internet and I choose not to pay them.

Download the app "you mail" and when an 880 number calls just have it automatically go to voicemail where it tells the person on the other line your phone is disconnected. Good luck.
