- Austin TX6:45 pm 3/17/14 automated call states "we regret to inform you that your MasterCard account has been inactivated. Press 1 to contact customer service". I hung up
- NY, NYGot same call on my cell, claiming "Mastercard has been locked. Press 1..." I hung up, waste of time. Any legit financial institution will not do a automated message in this manner. They will call with live person and ask you to call in your card's customer service number. Anyway, thanks all for the prior post.

- TwinnyI got a call on my cell phone saying that my Bank of America credit card had been locked & to press "1". I have, but don't use, a B of A card so I hung up. Then I remembered that my husband uses a B of A card.
When I tried dialing the phone # that showed up on my cell phone, all I got was that that # was no longer in service!
Note: We were traveling last weekend & I wonder if someone at our destination picked up the B of A account # when my husband used his card several times in very busy, vulnerable locations. So I called the # on the back of my B of A card & spoke with a customer service agent. She told me that there were no locks or other notes on the account.- Caller: supposed to be B of A
