Seen this # on my land line home phone caller i.d. I see a lot of people saying that it is from virgin mobile. I am on the DNC list so I reported their [***]. They are either trying to sell phone service or products (that I could really care less and don't want) or my slutty pig sister must have used my home phone # for one of her pre-paid cell phones she usually loses or defaults on a bill for as she jumps from one corner to the next ( really, she is a [***]!) All I know is that they do not need to be calling a number that is on the do not call list especially when I am the person paying for my land line despite what some hoochie hoe gave them my number as a contact. QUIT CALLIN ME !!!! :)

It is legit from Virgin Mobile.
I have a pay as you go plan and got a call from them(they did not leave a message though) on my home phone the other night followed by an email the next morning that included this:

Use a debit/credit card, Top-Up card, or registered PayPal account and add money in one of 3 easy ways:

       1. Top-Up at least $20 from the menu on your phone

    2. Log on to virginmobileusa.com

    3. Call our automated system at 1-888-322-1122

I got a missed call from this number today and that's REALLY odd considering I just signed on with Verizon and activated my phone this very afternoon. How could they even get a number that has only been active for a matter of a few hours???? GRRRR!

Evidently this is virgin movile's number.  But whatever they have to tell my they can just send me an email!  They know I am on a pre=pay system because I have a crappy job and have no money!  So why they want to use up my own minutes!?  Those b*tches -

This number called my home phone 3 times in under 10 minutes.  Never leaves a message and I never answer the phone for an "unknown name" caller.

1-888-822-1122 is actually Virgin Mobile.  I have the Virgin Mobile prepaid plant and it's an automated voice advising your minutes are about to expire.

it is from Virgin Mobile- i just wanted to add that even though you may not have ever had an account or a pre-paid phone with them- that local numbers can be used for the cell phones and reused.  You may have a number that used to be a virgin mobile cell number.  etc etc etc.  So you just need to decide to call the number and tell them to stop calling or ignore it.

You dont have to be a current customer to get the calls- its annoying either way yes...

Yep just virgin mobile calling to use up your minutes. Within 3 minutes of activating my vigin mobile phone, I started getting calls from everywhere. I hadn't given my number to anyone at that time. I guess Virgin Mobile feels like they have the right to give your number to whoever. When I called them they claimed it was their satellite provider, I asked them for that number and they claimed it was confidential. Well wtf,so "was" my telephone number

It is their satellite provider that is providing your telephone numbers to all sorts of telemarketers. They refuse to give the number to the satellite provider so one can ask them to stop calling. Yep check mate Virgin mobile is playing a "use up your minutes method to boost their own financial situation, I do believe this is illegal. By the way the same thing happened to me and that's why I"m replying

I got a call from this number, too. I accidentally hung up on it, so ai called back and it's Virgin Mobile? Never even heard of the company before today. As for the idea that someone might have put my number down on their account as a contact number for some reason - I know what companies all my friends get their phone service through and NONE of them use Virgin Mobile. Nor would they have any reason whatsoever to use MY number as a contact number if their companies need to reach them. This one's too suspicious not to be regarded as a potential scam.

I get a call from this number pretty often.  I guess from what ive been reading its virgin mobile, who is my provider...but yeah, thanks for calling and wasting my minutes, scumbags.
The weird thing was that i was out of signal range, so it went to voicemail for once, and i swear the message was "Fart," and then they hung up. Spoken word not the sound.  Meatheads.
